Story
Meet Amelia aka 'Mills'Amelia, or 'Mills', as we like to call her, is an approximately 6-year-old Siamese mix with striking blue eyes that will melt your heart. Her coat is a beautiful blend of creamy beige and soft brown, with subtle striped markings on her limbs and tail that add to her charm. With a dark pink nose and a cartoonish expression, she’s as adorable as she is captivating!Mills is the epitome of “Ms. Independent.” While she enjoys affection and will happily rub up against your legs for some love, she’s not clingy. Mills is content to do her own thing, whether that's napping in a cozy sun puddle, watching you go about your day, or enjoying her meals (she’s a bit of a foodie). She enjoys playing with toys from time to time but isn’t the type to get into mischief if playtime isn’t on the agenda. She loves her space but isn’t a loner – just a cat who values her peace and quiet.Mills is perfectly suited for someone looking for a low-maintenance companion who’s happy to coexist and add a little personality to the household without demanding constant attention. She’s incredibly tolerant and adaptable, and while she’s not one for cuddling with other cats, she coexists well with all personalities.Mills would thrive in a calm home where she can be herself without the pressure of too much stimulation. She’s lived with kids and while she doesn’t particularly enjoy small hands grabbing her, she’s patient and tolerant. She’s also had experience with two energetic Aussies and holds her ground with dogs, so a home with other pets (especially other cats) would be no problem for her. She’s not a drama starter—she just wants a safe, stable place to relax and enjoy life on her own terms.Mills came to us from a difficult situation where she lived with many other cats out of a car, with a woman who struggled with housing stability and couldn’t provide her with proper care. Her early life was stressful, marked by a lack of proper food and a constant state of uncertainty. Despite this, Mills is resilient, calm, and never lets her past define her. Now, she’s ready to find a forever home where she can enjoy the peace and comfort she deserves. If you’re looking for a laid-back feline who will be your quiet companion and add a little sunshine to your life, Amelia is the perfect fit!
