Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Wonderful Winslow, around 10 months old, Lynx Point Siamese MIX, is still VERY much a kitten. He LOVES to play and needs wand toy stimulation 2-3 times each day plus an abundance of floor toys. True to his siamese genes and young age, he needs stimulation and is not good left alone for long periods. Winslow needs an experienced and savvy cat human for his adoption.  Winslow is already 11 pounds at 10 months - we expect him to grow into a large kitty. He is not a cuddler but will occasionally come lay next to his foster mom's legs for a nap and enjoys pets and scratches. Who knows, with the right adopter he may be able to be trained to be a cuddler! He also likes general attention and heads butts my legs continually! He also can easily be picked up and loves to be silly laying on his back frequently!Winslow finished treatment for FIP in November. (not to be confused with FIV+) His initial blood test when finished with the drug, was good. He needs one more blood test on Feb. 18 to be labeled, 'in good health.' He will not be adopted until then. In all outward appearances, he is in great health. And Oh boy, he does have quite the appetite!Winslow is shy with new people, as he hasn't been around many. However he will warm up nicely with his new adopter in a week or so, with daily attention. Unknown how is he is with dogs.  No kids please. Winslow will do fine with another cat with a slow and proper introduction. Winslow's adoption fee is $200. Winslow can be visited in south Fort Collins in his foster home. foster: CP   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
