Story
5/10/23 birthday Barrett rescued as a small kitten. Has been in foster care and for adoption since a kitten. Hi! My name is Barrett. My foster family calls me Care Bear because I am so sweet and cuddly. I appreciate the little things in life, like amazon boxes and laundry baskets to sit and play in. I am playful but I never play too rough. I am a great companion for families with children, other kitties, and dogs.

Story
Meet Sunny (A212357)! Sunny is approximately ten years young and looking for a loving home at the shelter. Sunny came in to us as a stray with a horrible wound on his side. Who knows what got him, but thankfully we were able to patch him up good as new and he is now ready for a home. Despite the trauma he went through with that injury, Sunny was happy, friendly and loveable from day one which is why he got the name Sunny! Please come to the shelter and spend some time with Sunny and see for yourself what an absolute sweetheart he is! All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) Jacqui is a beautiful kitten with striking blue eyes. Behind her good looks, though, is a kitten with a strong personality who loves to play with, chase and wrestle with her two slightly-larger brothers (Jace and Jasper). She doesn’t back down from her brothers and often initiates their wrestling and playtime. She loves all kinds of toys and has a favorite teaser wand that she refuses to let go off, often trying to walk off with it. She likes to climb and is frequently found on the top of the cat tree (probably her favorite spot). Don’t be surprised if she also gets on your shoulders! When it’s time to rest, she likes to get attention and express her love. She is quick to purr, gives shoulder bumps and ankle rubs, and will climb onto your lap or lay next to you for attention. Jacqui isn’t the biggest fan when it comes to traveling in her carrier and will talk to you to express her displeasure! Jacqui might be a little reserve when she first meets you but don’t let that fool you, this sweet girl is a social butterfly once she gets to know you. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate kitten with a big personality, Jacqui is your girl! Jacqui loves interacting with her two brothers, Jasper and Jace, so if you are thinking of adding more than one kitten to your home, why not consider including either of them, or both! ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***Food Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***Post Adoption Support It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! ADOPTION FEES: See website- https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _______________________________________________________________ ****APPLICATION:**** For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located at the link below. Story
Hey there! My name is Minka and boy do I have a story to tell! To say I have been through a few things in my short little life is an UNDERSTATEMENT! See when I was very young, I was left at the animal shelter, a very scary place for any furry baby but even more so for a little one like me! The people there noticed my front foot was a bit “wonky” as were my elbows, but the nice doctor said I was born this way though I could have told them that! So, the people set out to find me a special place to help me and that’s how I arrived in rescue, and I was so grateful to be in a home! I quickly made friends with my foster mates and things seemed to be going great for me till I got sick with what my foster mom says is FIP. She was very very concerned about me since it used to be thought of as fatal, but she wasn’t willing to at least try. Well, I am very happy, as is my foster mom, to say the treatment worked and I am officially cleared, I even took a test to prove it, though not a fan of those whatsoever, even if the vet techs love on me! Mom says I am now ready for my own castle so here I am on the “love me” site! I am a very petite girl for my age, apparently, the 5-month kittens are bigger than me but that’s no bother! I am full of personality and spunk and mom says I like to share my opinions. I am good at doing almost everything the other fosters do and love to be loved. I would do best in a quiet home with a gentle friend who doesn’t mind an occasionally rambunctious gal (I love to skootch as quickly as possible around the house!) and a family who will be able to give me lots of love, oh and brushing, I like brushing! Hope to meet you soon! My foster mom says I am spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. They say that’s good! I currently live with my foster family in Sacramento. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats (like me) with qualified adopters who will cherish me and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you’re my perfect adopter please explain why in the comments section of my Adoption Application, and contact Dayna at meandmyfosters@outlook.com If you are unable to reach Dayna please email info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!

Story
Meet George an adorable 4 yr old Lynx Point Siamese. His bright blue eyes will surely brighten your day. George is very gentle, intelligent, and sweet. While he enjoys interacting with you (rubbing against legs, getting head/neck pets), he prefers for it to be on his own terms. I'd say that is true with most cats. He is very polite, carefully walks around items on desks, and is never involved in mischievous cat antics. He is low energy and spends most of the day sleeping on the cat-safe balcony or enjoying his tall cat tree. If you have been away from home, he likes to check you out and see what you've been up to. He is very curious that way.
He needs to be in a calm and peaceful household, without a lot of commotion, noise, or people coming and going. He would prefer someone who is home a lot, to be your one and only pet and to form a strong bond with you doting on him. With time, he may turn into a very clingy cat. We'd prefer George to be in a home versus an apartment, so he has plenty of space to explore. George has never been around children, and we are unsure how'd he do around them or their cute little noises.
George's current owner loves him to death, however, they are experiencing some health issues and is unable to love him the way he deserves. George is very in tuned with her emotions and knows something is off.
He is litter box perfect and always has been. Currently, he eats Nulo dry food mixed with Hills Prescription Diet Dental Care food to graze on and given a small amount of Weruva wet food daily.
All in all George is the most perfect of cats and would be a great addition to the perfect home! George is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. He currently lives with his owner in Walnut Creek. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for George please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Debbie at debbie.cocanour@gmail.com or 714-851-4854. If you are unable to reach Debbie please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
