Story
Meet Firefly — a bright spark of energy and charm! This confident, playful boy lives up to his name with his lively spirit and curiosity that lights up every room. Firefly loves to play, especially with his favorite ball toys. You’ll often catch him stalking, pouncing, and chasing them around like a tiny panther on a mission. He’s also a big fan of food puzzles, which keep his sharp mind and food motivation happily occupied! Firefly is social and easygoing with people and adapts quickly to new situations. He’s great with both cats and dogs — though he may swat a bit to establish boundaries, he never escalates and can comfortably share space, food, and naps with them. After a day full of fun, Firefly likes to curl up on the bed with his humans or lounge on a cat tree for a cozy snooze. He can be handled when needed, but prefers to make the first move in showing affection. Firefly would thrive in an active home that loves interactive playtime and has other furry friends to keep him company. If you’re looking for a clever, confident, and entertaining companion, Firefly will make every day feel a little more alive. Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped. This cat is in a foster home. To meet him, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adopt    December 7, 2025, 6:26 pm

Story
Jenkins' love language is play… play… and more play! This spirited guy is all about fun, and he’ll chase a wand toy for as long as you’ll let him. Jenkins has energy to burn and thrives with daily playtime. He’s the kind of cat who turns a living room into a playground and makes you laugh while doing it. Outside of his playful streak, Jenkins is an easygoing companion who settles into new spaces quickly. He enjoys being pet and having people nearby, though he’s not overly demanding about attention. While he wasn’t a lap cat in foster care, that could change once he feels fully at home. Jenkins would be a great match for someone who works from home or spends a lot of time around the house and is looking for a playful friend. If you’re ready for a buddy who brings a lot of energy to your life, Jenkins might just be your perfect match.  Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. This cat is in a foster home. More information about this cat and all of our adoptable cats can be found at www.thedancingcat.org/cats. Story
Shaabo is a beautiful 4-year-old Siamese mix with a gentle and affectionate nature. She loves people and warms up quickly to new friends, even little ones! Shaabo enjoys ear scratches, cozy naps by her favorite humans, and sunny lounging spots where she can soak up the warmth. When she’s feeling playful, she’ll happily chase her feather toys and show off her graceful moves. Shaabo is spayed, vaccinated, and gets along fine with other cats, she may hiss at first but never picks a fight. She hasn’t met dogs yet, but with her easygoing personality, she may adapt well in a calm home. Sweet, sociable, and loving, Shaabo would be a wonderful companion for a family or anyone looking for a loyal feline friend. Shaabo is diabetic, but her diabetes is well controlled with insulin. She receives Lantus (glargine) injections twice a day, and she doesn’t mind them at all, they’re just part of her routine. To support her next chapter, her current caregiver is willing to cover the cost of her medication for the first year for her new family. Shaabo is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsNovember 6, 2025, 5:45 pm

Story
We decided to take in Cosmo because his owner had to give him up. He seemed to have a really hard time adjusting when we brought him home but after getting over the fear he was very loving. He seems to need a lot of attention. He doesn't like to be alone and is quite vocal. But he's a sweetie pie who needs a good home and someone to love him. Someone with time for him we don't have the time and are moving and we can't take him where we're going. We only took him in a few months ago and now we have to rehome him again. We r moving in 3 weeks. If we can't find him a home we'll have to take him to the shelter.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Janice (janice.frazier@sbcglobal.net) for more information about this pet. Online Adoption Application › She's just waiting for the ideal home!Afina is a pretty girl and likes her toys, especially her balls with bells and her puff ball. This Lynx point Siamese kitty mix is just learning to get excited about being with people and loved. She came from a situation of overcrowded cats, so she took a while to get comfortable in a new situation, but she arches her back to be petted, and she enjoys her kibbles. She will be so happy to be part of a home with another cat, she's very interested in all the other cats in the home. But she'd also be okay by herself. She has a cute little meow, and is not as chatty as many Siamese mixes. We do recommend she get adopted by someone or family with time to bond with her, and likely a quieter home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. To Adopt one of our Cats or Kittens, please fill out an Online Adoption Application on our website  https://www.13thstcats.org/info/adoption If the animal bio says that they are a "Courtesy Listing", the contact information will be included in the animal bio for you to reach out to them directly. Hi there, my name is Odo. I`m a soft-hearted soul who is hoping to get a second chance in a fur-ever home. Give me a few minutes to get to know you (ideally with some pets!) and before you know it, you`ll see my loving personality shine. If you’re willing to offer a few extra minutes of patience, kindness, and a new start, I’ll be a loving and devoted companion who truly appreciates being given the chance. Story
Abby is small and adorable. She doesn’t like to be held, but is so inquisitive and loves to sleep beside her people. She is so cute, LOVES children and is curious and happy with dogs. She enjoys a laser to chase, and feather toys are her jam as well. She is very chill and have I mentioned, super cute!? Maddie is a bit of a cautious kitty, but once she falls in love with you- she will LOVE to sleep on your lap. She is talkative when she wants dinner or wants a lap to purr on. Her voice is low and I find it makes me laugh bc it’s so unique. She loves to be brushed and loves to play with feather toys.
