Hera is a stunning girl with the most gorgeous markings who was found living behind a barbershop with her five kittens. She was an amazing mama who is quite young herself - our vet estimates no older than 2 years old - but now all her kittens have been adopted, and she’s hoping for a forever home of her own. Hera is as playful as a young kitten but is also good about keeping herself entertained so doesn’t pester you or get into trouble if you’re otherwise occupied. ;) She has the most unique striped whiskers and trilling meow, and she loves to talk. She will run to greet you when you come home and loves to make figure-eights around your feet, chirping in her unique little voice. She gently head butts you when she wants attention, but does need an owner who understands cat language, as she is the type to want a particular number of pets at any given time. ;) Hera is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, flea-free, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He did test positive for FIV but he is very healthy otherwise. He would like to be your one and only pet, as he likes to be the king of the castle. He had a rough start to life and still has some trauma he is mentally healing from, but he has a lot of faith in his humans and wants to trust you completely, he will just need someone who is patient and cat experienced. He would enjoy a soft bed and cat tree to sleep and lounge on. He would love to cuddle with his new person in bed at night. He is a people kitty, he likes to conversate with you about his day and is eager to hear about yours. He would be a great companion for someone who works from home or is retired as he always loves to be right next to his human. Do you think Sydney could be the guy you've been searching for? It's no surprise that Frankie No Eyes (as he was known) turned to a life of crime after the rough beginning he had in life. Growing up, he faced competition for food without even being able to see what was happening around him. But this stunning boy met trauma with patience and strength--which he needed once he came into our care and endured multiple surgeries to repair the damage to his eyes. These days, Frankie is a reformed character. He's come through the dark times, and his sweet, playful personality is shining through. Still 100% blind, Frankie remains a shy boy at first, especially as he gets used to new spaces and people. But he loves to explore, climb, and play, especially with a feather wand or any other toy that makes noise. He's very treat motivated, and he loves cheek and chin rubs. He's great with other cats and humans who'll be patient with him and do their best to not startle him. After all Frankie has been through, he deserves the happiest of happily ever afters. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Buffy, a striking and independent feline with a unique personality and an equally unique set of needs. Buffy's journey has shaped her into the special cat she is today, and she's looking for an equally special human to appreciate her quirks and give her the stability she deserves. Upon medical exam, it was discovered that Buffy had dental disease, so we had to remove a few teeth. She's healing well and is ready to go home! Though she has a history of strong feelings about her environment and boundaries, her behavior has improved significantly with the right housing setup and a bit of time to settle in. Buffy thrives as the sole pet in a home-she's a proud member of the "No Cats, No Dogs, and No Kids" club. Her history includes redirected aggression in a multi-cat household after spotting an unfamiliar cat outside, so she requires a space where she won't encounter other cats, including neighborhood or community cats. Her ideal setup might involve strategic use of blinds or curtains to help her feel safe and secure. While she hasn't had experience with dogs, a pet-free environment is highly recommended to meet her needs. Patience and respect will go a long way in helping Buffy adjust to her new home.
