Story
Hi! I'm Calvin! I'm an adult, male, Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. I was surrendered on 12/13/2024 because my finders could not keep me. I do well with people and love to follow my humans around! I don't like cats and am particular about other dogs. I am crate trained and could be fully house trained if put on a schedule. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters and heartworm negative.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. December 18, 2024, 2:55 pm

Story
Meet Jax! He is an approximately 6 year old, male, Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. He was surrendered on 12/18/2024 because his owners could no longer care for him. Max was adopted from RAC at the age of 6 months old as a gift for the children. The children have since grown up and unfortunately, Max was no longer receiving the attention he needs. He went from being an indoor pet to a backyard pet. Max is such a sweet and loving guy that would love to find a soft place to land and a second chance at a true FURever home! According to his previous owners, he has done well with children of all ages. Max loves cuddly beds and warm blankets are his number one favorite thing. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is recommend to make sure they are a good match! Max is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination and basic boosters. Max is also heartworm negative! Meet and greets will be by approved application so make sure to visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet! Max's adoption fee is $125.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
