Story
Meet Theo, a precious 2-4 year old, 9 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Frisco, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Theo is one of three Yorkies that were recently confiscated due to neglect. You would never know it by Theos disposition. He is a happy, playful, pup, ready for any adventure. He is estimated to be between three and four years old. He is very smart, and has quickly learned that if he goes potty outside, he gets a treat. Were still working on this, as occasionally, he still will wet the belly band. However the progress hes made in just the three days weve had him is great! He loves toys, but his favorite is an old sock. He carries that thing around with him everywhere. If you toss it, he will chase it and bring it to you, but he does not like giving it back. He sometimes gets a little snippy about it. We are working on that. He has been great with our Golden Retriever. He likes to visit her, sniff her, but respects her boundaries. Im sure he would play great with a smaller pup. He follows everyone in our household around, so curious about everything. He sleeps next to the bed on his blanket. He would love to sleep in the bed with his humans, but due to his recent neuter, we havent let him for fear he might try to jump off in the night and injure his stitches. Theo loves being outdoors! When he goes out into the yard, he sniffs every inch, then he runs at full speed all around. Were planning to take him on his first leash walk this weekend. Hes been on one car ride to the store which ended fairly well. He was a little nervous at first but settled down. Overall, he is a happy, curious pup just looking for someone to love on him. He will need a family willing to spend time with him and play with him. Due to time in his previously life in a kennel, we do not recommend crating him. As my husband said, Theo will be someones new best friend. He will make an excellent companion.

Story
Sweet Denali has been with the rescue for over 2 yrs and has yet to find his forever home! He is a 9 year old Chihuahua mix weighing only 11.7 lbs. When he joined the rescue he battled IBS, but thankfully after months of doctors visits and trying different medications he has been symptom free!  He is eating regular dog food softend due to the amount of teeth he has but enjoys a good meal without any tummy issues.  For precautions due to history, we do limit his food to no people food or excesive treats.  He loves walks, car rides, people and sunnying. Denali is great with other dogs, cats and everyone he meets. He will still occasionally potty in the house, but wearing a belly band in the home is a simple solution to protecting the carpet! This boy is so deserving of a forever home. Apply to adopt Denali at www.rescuerowinc.org Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a home check Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1236917##

Story
This is what Nova's foster family has to say about her: “Nova is such a sweetheart! She was very nervous and unsure when she first came into our home. For the first 2 days, she would let out a high pitched scream when we picked her up. Now, she comes right up to us and asks to be held! She also gets so excited to see us when we come home. She does great with our dogs. She has tried to play with the smaller ones a couple of times, but she will usually just nap next to one of them on the couch. She would do fantastic with another dog that is laid back or she would be fine being the one and only! She loves food and eats perfectly right alongside the other pups. Nova is kennel trained, potty trained, does great in the car, and is wonderful on a leash. She’s a huge cuddler, but if a lap is not available, she will snuggle up on the back of the couch. We cat tested her with another foster family, and she did really well. She was curious at first but then completely ignored the kitty.“ Nova is nervous when she first meets someone so her adopters need to be patient and give her a little time to warm up in her new environment, but she does bond super hard and fast! She seems to bond faster with women, then with men. Nova is a 3 1/2 year old Chihuahua mix weighing about 12lbs. If you are interested in adopting her, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org! *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex.
