Story
This little gal and 3 others were left on the side of the road in a crate, very matted, dirty and hungry. After being examined by our veterinarian, she was shaved and bathed. She was very fearful of people for about half an hour....until she realized she was safe! She is an absolute love bug and needs to be touching her foster mom constantly, She is always cold, and wants to be snuggled as close as possible for warmth and security. She is a sassy girl and can be vocal upon meeting new people and pets. She has become a very confident girl, has a playful streak and is pretty funny too. She is crated at night and when left alone, has no respect for a baby gate when she is trying to get to her people, She is protective and apologetic if she thinks she's done something wrong, and wants to give kisses for forgiveness. She would be best in a home where someone can be home with her the majority of her day and has lots of time for her to cuddle and feel safe.
She is up to date on her vaccines, is heartworm negative, has been flea and tick treated, and is microchipped. She is booked for her spay surgery and a dental at the end of November.
Her adoption fee is $500. You must be 21 years old to adopt and provide vet and personal references. An application to adopt her can be found on our website www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com. Click on Adopt, then Dogs for Adoption, and scroll to the bottom of the page.
All applications are reviewed, and if we feel you might be a good fit for her, you will be contacted to arrange a home visit as well as for permission to speak with your vet. Repeated phone calls and emails with not advance your application. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue and there is no opportunity to meet her before an application has been approved.
We thankyou for respecting these guidelines.
