Monty is currently enjoying his time in a foster home! Monty`s foster mom says:Monty is a grumpy old man, but with a lot of love still to give. He gives sweet little kisses but grumbles when I kiss him. He loves burrowing under blankets. He has been a picky eater and since he was so skinny, I’m spoiling him with hamburger and chicken. Part of that may have been his dental issues with abscessed teeth which are now resolved. He is a screamer when you try to do things he doesn’t like - putting on his collar or his sweater. Makes me think he has been abused before and screams when he is scared. As he gets more secure in feeling safe, I hope that resolves. He comes when called inside and outside. He is mostly potty trained but has marked since he wasn’t neutered. He will have accidents if not taken out every couple hours. Puppy pads help during the day.Monty is on Keppra to manage seizures, so that will have to factor into your decision if interested in adopting!Adoption Fee: $ 75Estimated Date of Birth: UnknownIntake Reason: transfer from agencyAnimal will be spayed and up to date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to adoption. If their kennel card on display at TAPS shelter facility is marked as unaltered, the animal will be altered prior to being released for adoption. Animal stage may change from time to time based on surgery and medical status. TAPS strives to keep kennel cards as up to date as possible with current information but from time to time, information may change and a new kennel card may be pending. Full and current vaccination schedule and medical records along with any behavioral disclosures will be provided at time of adoption.

This beautiful mama is Saffron! She is an almost two year old chihuahua who is looking for a patient and understanding owner. Saffron and her baby were pulled from a hoarding situation so she is understandably nervous around new people. Her baby is now out of the shelter, leaving her waiting for her furrever home! She takes a bit of time to warm up but, once she does, she will melt in your arms and you`ll never want to let her go! She loves peanut butter and a nice warm bed! If you are interested in giving this sweet girl a chance, come on in and meet her!
