Meet Newton, a sweet and gentle 16-year-old senior dog who is looking for a loving home to spend the rest of his days. Despite his age and health challenges, including blindness, deafness, incontinence, stage-2 kidney failure, and liver disease, Newton`s spirit remains unbroken. This endearing pup has a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He loves being outdoors, where he can enjoy the fresh air and take leisurely strolls, feeling the grass beneath his paws. Though his walks are short, they bring him immense joy and a sense of adventure.Newton`s super-sweet temperament shines through in his quiet and peaceful demeanor. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him a perfect companion for a household with furry friends. While he sleeps most of the day, Newton`s presence brings a sense of calm and warmth to any room. He is on a canned-food diet and can be a bit of a picky eater, but with a little patience and love, he happily enjoys his meals. Newton needs a single-level home without any stairs, where he can move around comfortably and safely. He is searching for a compassionate family who will cherish him and provide the care and comfort he deserves. In return, he will offer unconditional love and companionship, making every moment together truly special.Interested in adopting this dog? Meet Patches Patches is a cute, tan and white Chihuahua Mix, estimated to be about 2 years old, weighing 15 lbs. She is very cute, and good with most other dogs but sometimes is selective about her friends; she was confiscated along with several other dogs, ended up in a downstate animal control, and finally found her way to BAARK. Patches is well behaved, affectionate , an overall nice girl. However she has many traits typical of a Chihuahua….can be dog selective, can be bossy with other dogs, and will not back down if another dog challenges her. So, if there is another dog(s) in the household, he or she should be mellow and laid-back. While affectionate, Patches is not fond of cuddling. She’s an independent spirit and prefers to do her own thing. She will surely make a great companion for adults familiar with the breed and able to appreciate the Chihuahua personality. Patches is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped.
