Story
Sam is a 6 pound, 3-4 month old chihuahua mix little boy who is looking for his forever home. This sweet boy with the softest fur ever, was pulled with his sister Winnie, from a high-kill shelter in rural Georgia. Are we are thrilled to have saved this cutie!
Sam is a velcro dog - he loves nothing more than to sit on the lap of his people, enjoying whatever it is you are doing. Going to a baseball game? Sam is your boy. Running errands? Count him in! This little guy has the cutest little underbite, and does well with the large and small pups in his foster home. He can be an only dog or with other dogs his size, who aren’t going to get upset if he wants to love on his people - he is a gentle soul! Sam is still working on being completely housebroken, so someone who is home and will be patient with Sam, to continue his training, is needed.
Sam does NOT like being crated and you will hear his displeasure. Because he is so small, he can not go to dog parks nor can he be left alone in a yard, unattended. For that reason, his foster mom will not allow him to go to a home with an open doggy-door.
Sam does well with respectful children. While he has not seen a cat, his foster mom believes Sam will be just fine with them.
