    Rosie and Posie are a sweet, beautiful pair of litter mate sisters who have a special, loving bond that is very endearing. They are about 12 years old but full of energy and enthusiasm. Rosie and Posie are happy girls who love to run in the yard and romp around together, usually with their tails wagging.  These sisters could not be more at ease with each other, and very much want attention and love from people, but can be skiddish with strangers. They will need a patient person, who is willing to give them extra time, and possibly come to meet with them more than once if necessary. Also, their new home should have a fenced yard.             Rosie is about 15 pounds and lighter colored in the face. Posie is about 20 pounds. They are really very sweet and friendly girls who just need the right person and home to meet their full potential. Story
  There is a very good reason why this adorable, beautiful Shih Tzu has been at the rescue for over 5 years. Geoffrey David is a special boy, who needs a special person to welcome him into their life. His behavior suggests he was abused from a very early age. When he arrived, this young boy was very untrusting and a defensive biter. After many years of receiving consistent love, care, and compassion, and watching the other dogs enjoy human attention and affection, Geoffrey David has made absolutely remarkable improvements.             Geoffrey David is now happy, relaxed, and seeks out attention and petting.  He has become much more animated and loves to play with toys. He also enjoys the company of other nice dogs and gets along very well in a group. Geoffrey David still does not want to be picked up, held, or go on a leash, but this will probably also change with more time. When he has reached his limits of petting, he usually lets you know with a little growl, or just walks away.             Geoffrey David is about 8 1/2 years old and about 14 pounds.    Fuji is a gorgeous Shih Tzu who has been at the rescue for over one year, and we believe it’s his turn to find his wonderful, forever home. He is a terrific boy with a happy, fun loving nature. Fuji is very friendly and loves to spend time with people, hanging out, cuddling, and receiving belly rubs. He also loves to go for walks, and enjoys playing in the yard.             Fuji is about 7 1/2 years old and about 14-15 pounds. He would do best with a single parent, who is an experienced, compassionate dog owner, who can be sensitive to his needs and not push him beyond his limits. Fuji gets along with other nice dogs, but would be fine as the only dog in his new family. If you are ready to open up your heart and home to Fuji, please put in an application today.
