Story
Meet Kobe! Kobe is an adorable, tiny 8-pound Chihuahua who’s around 7-8 years young. This sweet little guy is the ultimate definition of a lap dog—his love language is definitely cuddles. Kobe is incredibly chill and has a gentle, loving personality with not a single mean bone in his body. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and very well-behaved on walks, showing no reactivity to the outside world. Although Kobe gets along fine with other dogs, he absolutely loves being the only one getting spoiled—and he truly deserves it! While we’re unsure how he feels about cats, his calm demeanor suggests he’d adjust well to most situations. Kobe would thrive in a home where he can be showered with love, cuddles, and plenty of attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion to share your couch and your heart with, Kobe might just be your perfect match! Story
Peeka is a lovely spayed little girl who is a mix of Yorkie and Wired Hair Terrier. She is seven years old, weighs 10 lbs., and is full of love. Peeka is current on all her vaccinations. She is house-trained and crate-trained and loves sleeping in bed with you. She is very active. Sweet little Peeka was left outside without supervision and wandered the streets in Greeley, within her neighborhood. Peeka is a little bundle of love who adores attention and snuggles with her humans. She especially loves going on her daily walks and lets you know when it's time to go. Peeka practically puts her harness on herself! Once she settles down in her new home, which, with all Yorkies, it takes at least two weeks before she feels comfortable in her new home. She loves belly rubs and treats. She gets along with children, but other dogs are not her favorite; therefore, she would be better off being the only dog in the household. We are requesting a stay-at-home adult or one who works from home. She must have a secure fenced yard. Peeka loves being outside, but with the Colorado predators, one must always be outside with her. No apartment, Condo, or Townhome for this little one.

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: Roger is a really special pup. Not only because of his highly expressive and absolutely adorable ears, but he needs a really special human to take him in. Due to whatever happened in his past, he is an extremely fearful pup. Amazingly, he's pretty secure and great with other dogs, no matter the size. But he's absolutely terrified of humans. He will not come willingly to you unless you ignore him. If you want to welcome this pup into your home, you will need to have the patience and love to allow him to come to you on his own terms. Due to his fear, he will not go on a walk with you and will try to escape if he is on a leash. You will need to earn his trust -- likely over several weeks -- before walking on a leash might become a possibility. He is treat-motivated, and we've had success in getting him to take a treat out of our hands before he runs off. But Roger is also FULL of personality. He is bright, naturally curious, and his endearing little pitter-patter around your home will brighten your day. He deserves a great home! We have a 60lb lab mix and two small chihuahua mixes, he's gotten along great with all of them. One of the chihuahuas has been making him play and he's reciprocated quite well! In one very experienced foster home they have 6 and 8 year old kids, he's been very shy, but hasn't shown any negative behavior towards the kids. If you have children they should be old enough to know to leave Roger alone until he is at a place that he can trust you. He's mostly crate trained, but gets a little lonely when he doesn’t have humans around. He slept in his crate at night in our bedroom and slept through the night. He did have a couple accidents when he first came to us (new environments are always tough!) but has had amazing success pottying outside when given lots of chances to go outside. He has a very sweet demeanor and will thrive when we finds a patient forever family that will show him what love and cuddles are really about! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
