Story
Gypsy is a gentle, loving, zen and quiet little ball of fluff. Her favorite activities include snuggling on her human and tummy rubs. She lives harmoniously with five foster canine siblings, loves the tween children of the house, and (wisely) avoids the two resident cats.
Gypsy is low to medium energy, potty trained, and sleeps through the night on the bed against her human. Gypsy's ideal home would be one where her humans include her in family outings. She is not interested in playing with the other dogs, and would be fine as an only dog. True to her breed, she embodies the 'lap dog' traits, wanting nothing more than to be with her humans. Gypsy will need regular grooming to keep her looking adorable. She dances on her hind legs for meals and treats.
Gypsy is a 5 year-old Shih Tzu rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, 4DX tested, and spayed. Gypsy has received a bilateral medial patella luxation surgery in September. She has made a full recovery and future corrective surgery will not be needed. However, it will be advised that she receives oral joint supplements for the remainder of her life. This dog is also tested with other dogs, cats, kennel trained, and housebroken. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.
Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
