Meet Hershey! Purebred Shih Tzu. Hershey LOVES everyone he meets and loves kids even more and is partial to men, but still adores all he meets. He turned 1 on May 20, 2024. He gets along well with other dogs. Mostly house trained, but that can change from home to home so be prepared to work on this. He doesn’t chew on anything except his toys, but if you give him a toy with stuffing, he will tear it to pieces. He loves to sleep in the bed, but will sleep on a dog bed too. Lovessss his pup cups.

I am 3 years old and my home has gotten torn out from under me when my beloved humans had to go into a nursing home and are unable to care for me any longer. Although I'm sad about this I'm still a very loving pup that won't let life get me down. I'm about 15lbs and what a perfect size. 15lbs of pure love and devotion, 15lbs of a heartbeat at your feet (or on your lap)!! I love going for walks and cuddle time after!! And I'm kind of a treat connoisseur, loving me some of those beggin strips!! I'm house trained but have never been crated. I'm way out of the puppy destructive stage and am good being out and about if you need to leave. I would make a great companion for a retired person(s) or someone working from home. I'm a 4-year-old female Shih-Tzu, weighing in at a perfect 15 pounds. I'm the epitome of calm and laid-back, and I absolutely love to snuggle up with my favorite blankets at home. Once I get to know you and trust you, I'll be your little shadow, happily following you around wherever you go. I am timid and shy when approached, but getting braver everyday. One of my absolute favorite things in the world is food—it's the quickest way to my heart! I'm doing great with potty and crate training – a little treat bribery helps! I do have a few fears. Thunderstorms, loud noises, children, and overwhelming commotion can make me quite anxious. Because of this, I'm not good with children under 12 years old and would do best in a calm, quiet home. We are working on leash training, but because I am fearful it would be nice to have a fenced yard as I need more practice with my outdoor explorations. I don't need to be placed in a home with another dog, but if there is another dog, I prefer smaller ones. Most importantly, I need my humans to be home most of the time because I thrive on companionship. I'm extremely sweet and lovable. Though I might be skittish at first, once I trust you, I'll show you just how loving and affectionate I can be. I'm an 8-year-old female Shih Tzu, and I weigh about 12 pounds. At home, I'm mellow but love to make good use of the toy box, especially when it comes to my favorite squeaky and crinkle toys. My absolute favorite is the bacon toy! I'm pretty social and get along with everyone. I always try to include myself in whatever is going on. While I can be a little hesitant at times, I'm not fearful or shy. I adapt well and love being part of the action. I'm still working on my potty training, but I'm making progress! I'm also learning to be comfortable in my crate. I eat in there, and although I might cause a bit of a ruckus at first, I do settle down eventually. We haven’t worked on leash training so I do require a fenced yard in my forever home. Overall, I am fairly quiet, but will let you know when I am alarmed or need something. With a personality like a whirlwind of joy, Muffin Top was found locally in less-than-ideal circumstances. But with a fresh haircut and a newfound zest for life, she's now thriving and eager to find her forever home.
