Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Jetson! This sweet Shih Tzu mix, born around July 16, 2023, has had a rough start in life but is ready to find a loving home. He and his friend Louie were living in a training lot for about eight weeks, essentially on their own and trying to survive in a tough situation, until things took a tragic turn. During their time in the VIA lot, Jetson’s friend Louie was sadly hit by a car, and another dog from their group went missing around the same time. Cold, scared, and desperate for help, Jetson and Louie were eventually rescued thanks to an experience trapper who brought them to our safety. Jetson is a shy but a sweet boy who desperately wants to be loved, though he needs time and patience to warm up. He does well with other dogs and will let you pick him up and hold him, but he’s still learning to trust. Jetson’s ideal home is one where someone understands the importance of giving him space to adjust at his own pace. He’s a gentle boy who just needs the right person to help him come out of his shell. Jetson’s adoption fee is $300, which includes his neuter, up-to-date vaccines, heartworm test, and prevention (ProHeart and Bravecto). He is available for transport to several states for an additional $225. If you're ready to offer Jetson a patient, loving home, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Jetson is ready to find the family who will help him blossom into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 19, 2025, 9:03 pm

Story
Nelson. Nelly. Niblits. He is now 12.5 yo and we have had him since he was 12 weeks. He is spunky and youthful, loves car rides, loves people, loves food. He can't see very well anymore but it doesn't stop him from smelling or hearing everything! A divorce has forced a move into apartments that do not take pets. He has a tendency to run the neighborhood so a fenced yard if he is outside is a must. He loves to travel in the car. Loves getting groomed (not so much nails trimmed). Has a wart on his eyelid that I tried to have removed at the vet but while he was under anesthesia they called and told me it was too large and I would have to take him to an eye surgeon. I can't afford it and it doesn't seem to impede him. He is a great companion and would love to be next to someone most hours of the day. Would make an excellent senior buddy.

Meet Toby! Toby is a lovable 3ish-year-old Shih Tzu mix who’s all about affection and attention. This sweet boy adores people and will happily crawl into your lap for endless kisses and cuddles. Toby would thrive in a home with playful little dogs who’ll keep him entertained, but he’s just as happy being the one and only companion to an older adult who can spoil him with love. Toby’s adaptable nature means he’d enjoy a yard to run around in, but he’d also do great in an apartment. If you’re looking for a loyal, people-oriented pup who will shower you with love, Toby is your guy! Story
Sweet Shih Tzus seeking loving home! We're sadly relocating and need to rehome our beloved boys. Gumby (13) and Pokey (11) both purebred Shih Tzu's from the same breeder. Gumby is a loyal, loving companion who enjoys cuddles and short bursts of playful energy (think bunny hops!). He's great with kids and has never bitten, though he dislikes having his rear touched and will give a warning growl. Pokey (11) is a playful, energetic pup who loves fetch and gets along with everyone! He's a bit of a foodie, so watching his portions is key. These sweet brothers are easy to care for (low-shedding, small appetites!), making them ideal family companions. They're like living stuffed animals with big personalities, ready to bring joy to their new home. We really don't want to split them up so are looking for a family that is willing to adopt both of them. Please let us know if you have any questions we can help you make a decision that's right for you and your family.
