Leia happens to be a little sweetheart. She is a two-year-old 15-pound terrier mix. Her brother is Kyle and Daddy dog is Duke. The owner said the Mommy dog was a Shih Tzu mix but she ran away and never returned. This is a handsome little well-behaved family. Their owner was evicted and had no place to safely take her dogs. Leia is extremely friendly. Definitely wants all the people love she can get. She is a bit wary of new dogs but with her sibling she loves to wrestle and play, and she is getting his number every time. Leia is housebroken. She has not been kenneled but when one is available, she likes to crawl in.She will walk on a leash but needs some training and reassurance.Leia is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative and has had a vet evaluation. Her adoption fee is $300. Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport to most states across the country. When he was found, Matt was covered in fleas, missing a ton of hair and struggling to see through his crust-covered eyes. San Antonio Animal Care Services stepped in to help him, and when SNIPSA saw that he was available for intake, we couldn’t say no either! Matt is now on the road to recovery after being treated for the fleas and his resulting allergies. As a three-year-old Shih Tzu, we know that it won’t take long for him to find a forever home. Shih Tzu’s are popular dogs due to their small size and unique appearance. They are typically very friendly by nature, and Matt is no exception! This boy spends most of his time napping, people-watching and soaking in attention. Given time to adjust, more of his personality will surely begin to emerge. Butter has been with us since he was a pup. He has grown up around cats so he is cat friendly. He is also dog friendly. He loves to cuddle & is so full of love. I am back at work full time & gone 8+hrs a day & kids are at school. We can't give him the proper love, care, & attention he deserves anymore. I have not taken him to the vet because I didn't have the funds but would buy his vaccines at a feed store the first year he was with us. He is up to date with his Rabies vaccine & is also neutered. He may need his other shots though, I don't know for how long they are supposed to be getting vaccinated. I think he may have some type of allergies or something because his skin is sensitive & he would scratch a lot to where his skin would get pink/red. Butter has some vision impairment. I think it may be cataracts, not 100% sure. Looking for the people who treat their pets like their babies/family. Just want to find him a loving home who will take care of him for the rest of his life.

Hey all you fabulous folks out there, I'm here in search of a home, a family...one I can say is ALL mine!! Since you're reading this, I'm hoping it could be with YOU!! I am around 4 years old and came from a situation with some other pups where our living situation wasn't very good. I am so appreciative of all the little things that most dogs take for granted. A kind word, a gentle pet, a soft bed, some tasty treats!! I am so very loving, coming for some pets every chance I get and my favorites are ear scratches and belly rubs. I haven't had much experience with this big ole world but I've been doing better with encountering new things (I might need a minute but I get there). I would probably do best in a quieter home where my person(s) work from home or are retired. I do have some cataracts developing and would benefit from having surgery. I can see but sometimes maybe not all that clearly. I do great with people once I get to know them but would probably do best in a home with just older kiddos. I do wonderfully with the other dogs in my foster home from big to smaller and also the resident kitty. And I'm also crate and house trained! I get so excited to see you when you get home even if it was just to get the mail!! I don't really play too much with toys but I do love snuggling on a soft blanket! I will also be your lil shadow, following wherever you go...that lil heartbeat at your feet! If you would like a BFF to help you with your errand runs, a constant in your life to share in your joys and sorrows, a cohort to sneak off exploring some nature trails...oh my, I AM your boy!!!!
