Story

Butter has been with us since he was a pup. He has grown up around cats so he is cat friendly. He is also dog friendly. He loves to cuddle & is so full of love. I am back at work full time & gone 8+hrs a day & kids are at school. We can't give him the proper love, care, & attention he deserves anymore. I have not taken him to the vet because I didn't have the funds but would buy his vaccines at a feed store the first year he was with us. He is up to date with his Rabies vaccine & is also neutered. He may need his other shots though, I don't know for how long they are supposed to be getting vaccinated. I think he may have some type of allergies or something because his skin is sensitive & he would scratch a lot to where his skin would get pink/red. Butter has some vision impairment. I think it may be cataracts, not 100% sure. Looking for the people who treat their pets like their babies/family. Just want to find him a loving home who will take care of him for the rest of his life.

Leia happens to be a little sweetheart. She is a two-year-old 15-pound terrier mix. Her brother is Kyle and Daddy dog is Duke. The owner said the Mommy dog was a Shih Tzu mix but she ran away and never returned. This is a handsome little well-behaved family. Their owner was evicted and had no place to safely take her dogs. Leia is extremely friendly. Definitely wants all the people love she can get. She is a bit wary of new dogs but with her sibling she loves to wrestle and play, and she is getting his number every time. Leia is housebroken. She has not been kenneled but when one is available, she likes to crawl in.She will walk on a leash but needs some training and reassurance.Leia is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative and has had a vet evaluation. Her adoption fee is $300. If you would like to meet Leia, please submit an application from www.poquitapawsrescue.org.ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport to most states across the country. BONDED PAIR, MUST ADOPT BOTH Hi. I'm Bitzee, a 9 y/o golden/white female shitsu. I'm part of a bonded pair with my 13 y/o chi mix Judah Chase. You see, our owner had to go into hospice care and it broke her heart to give us up. She made the rescue lady promise to adopt us together as we have always lived in the same household and don't know any different. My brother and I get along very well and it is kind of like getting 2 for the price of 1. I am currently about 4 pounds overweight ( currently 14 pounds) but foster Mom is diligently working on that with me. Despite being overweight, I am playful and like to go for walks. I had previously lived in an apartment and hadn't been able to get much exercise because of my owner's health. I had been going potty on potty pads but am now learning to go outside through the doggy door. My brother has already mastered the doggy door and I should soon. I like to go for car rides and am kennel trained. I am able to be kept unkenneled without being destructive and am not a huge barker. I am extremely loyal and like to follow my human around. I am good with children and other small dogs. It is unknown as to how I would do with large dogs or cats since foster mom doesn't have either. Pistachio may be a bit shy and timid at first, but he’s incredibly sweet once he feels comfortable. He enjoys playing with other dogs and, thanks to his calm and submissive nature, would likely do well in a home with children. He can be a little bossy with other dogs, but he corrects easy.
