Story
***COURTESY POST*** Meet Harold! Harold is a 3-year-old Chow/Shih Tzu mix and weighs about 25 pounds. He's a little shy at first, but once he comes around, WATCH OUT... he's a total love bug! Harold loves playing with his other 4-legged foster friends and playing "Chase me around the house while I carry your laundry in my mouth," with his foster mom. He is crate trained, house trained, walks well on a leash, and knows basic commands. Because of his uncertainty around humans, Harold would not be suitable for a home with children under the age of 12. He absolutely loves toys and totes them about so everyone can admire his good fortune. Harold's hobbies include plowing through sticker bushes, giving hugs, car trips, and cheese tastings. He dislikes all green foods and Taylor Swift. If you are interested in adopting Harold, please contact the Westie & Scottie Rescue Houston via email: westiehouston@gmail.com

Story
HAPPY PLAY IS HER GAME  DOB 1/1/24, weight 8 lb. Hey there, everyone! Eva is my name, and “happy play” is my game. I'm an outgoing, affectionate, and friendly white Shih Tzu mix gal who loves to snuggle. Some dogs live to dig holes and chase cats, but Shih Tzus’ idea of fun is sitting in your lap and acting adorable as you watch TV. Imagine yourself with me, looking up to you with my innocent eyes, adorable under-bite, and sweet expression. Wherever we Shih Tzus go, giggles and mischief follow. Playful and energetic, I'm a lively charmer, and being cute is a way of life for me. I love everyone – kids, cats, and other small dogs -- and just want to be loved back. I'd probably get along great with well-behaved children who know enough to handle small dogs carefully. I’d make a great pet if you live in an apartment or lack a big backyard because we Shih Tzus require minimal exercise. I was abandoned in my kennel, which was full of my toys, on my Foster Mom’s driveway. Who would do that to a sweet, innocent girl like me unless they couldn’t afford to care for me in the current inflationary financial conditions? Although it hurt me that I wasn’t treated like a member of the family, Foster Mom promises to pick out the perfect home for me from the many applicants who will want me. Since I’m house-trained and kennel-trained, I hope you'll arrange to meet me today. I make friends easily and promise to be a devoted family member if you choose to take me home! HOPE ID D25-0102-001 If you are interested in Eva and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you. February 17, 2025, 11:26 am

Story
Bailey Bob is a 13 lb. young shitzu who was rescued from a high risk shelter in south Texas. He's approximately 5 years old. We don't know what happened to Bailey Bob before he came to CAMO, but he has suffered a neurological injury that has caused him to lose his vision and sometimes walk in circles Bailey has made amazing progress in accepting new friends. He is very very sweet and loving to the people he knows- including his foster dad and our wonderful dog sitters who are a married couple. He loves sun bathing and especially music! He loves to play with toys. He does decent with a potty pad but best outside. However, we do use a belly band as he marks (mostly because every other dog has first)- but he knows the word no. He cannot walk on a leash and would not be appropriate in an apartment (as he can be very vocal) but he would be a fantastic companion for the right home. He would do best as an only dog but another dog who can ignore him would be totally fine. He needs and adult only home. Bailey Bob's adoption fee is WAIVED TO THE RIGHT HOME. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Rosie Cherry is a sweet little lady that is about 12 years old. She is a Shih-Tzu mix and has some health needs, but it doesn't slow her down! She is a fast learner and loves to be wherever her human is. She is mostly housebroken but will have an occasional accident if not taken out regularly. She loves dinnertime and taking her meds. She can be playful with encouragement but really enjoys sitting back and listening. Rosie has diabetes and mature cataracts (blind), congestive heart failure, a 5/6 heart murmur, but she is responding well to her medication/special diet and will need to continue them. Rosie gets along with other dogs and has been around a cat. Rosie Cherry adoption fee is $100. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
