Barry is in need of a foster home while they await further medical treatment. Reason for Foster: chronic skin allergies resulting in itching and fungal/yeast infectionFoster Time Frame: Our medical team will review on 4/8 to determine next steps. (The foster time frame may be longer depending on future rechecks and medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Barry is currently being treated for some skin irritation. He is on medication to reduce inflammation and itching and a medication to resolve the skin infection. He can be sensitive when you try and lift him. We would love to send this kid to a calm foster home where he can wait for his next steps. We will provide a medical consultation at your pickup appointment and the Foster team will supply all necessary items for a successful foster journey. How to take this pet home: Adopt: Barry is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption. Ginge is being fostered in AL. Ginge is a little girl with a bubbly personality. She loves to play with her toys and wants to play with other dogs, but is a little unsure. Ginge has a lot of energy and will play as long as you play with her. Then she’ll cuddle. Ginge is a social butterfly who loves hanging out with new people, but is still learning that people aren’t chew toys. She also will put anything in her mouth as she’s exploring so you have to watch her closely. Ginge has juvenile glaucoma and is totally blind. The good news is that her glaucoma is well controlled by eye drops given twice daily. Ginge eats well and comes running if she hears a bag rattle in the kitchen. She sleeps through the night in her crate. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
