Story
Willow Rose is an 8-year-old, 11.5-pound Shih Tzu with a personality just as beautiful as her name. Although she cannot see the world around her, she has mastered the art of being calm, gentle, and quietly present. Her favorite pastime is snoozing the day away or curling up right beside her person on the sofa while they work. Willow is blind, and that means she needs an adopter who understands that learning a new home’s layout will take time, maybe even months. Accidents will happen until she gets her bearings, and even then she may miss the mark on occasion. If you can be patient with her, she will reward you with endless quiet companionship. She gets along well with other dogs, doesn’t try to leap off furniture since she is smart enough to know her limits, and is as low-maintenance as they come. Willow isn’t perfect; she would prefer you keep the fancy rugs rolled up, and she is not a fan of grass, but she is perfect for someone who values peace, gentleness, and the unconditional love of a little dog who just wants to be by your side. If you have the patience to help Willow navigate her world, you will discover a loyal, easygoing companion who will make your house feel like home. Story
Jackaroo is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu weighing 14 pounds. He came to Camo Rescue alongside two other Shih Tzus after his original family was unfortunately deported. Through all the change, Jackaroo has shown just how resilient he is—he’s adjusted beautifully to rescue life and is now ready to find a loving forever home of his own. Jackaroo is currently working on his potty training and leash training and is doing wonderfully with both. He will continue to thrive with consistency and will benefit from learning and settling into his new family’s routine. He gets along well with dogs of a similar size but does have a slightly dominant personality. Jackaroo would do best with submissive dogs, as he responds very well to correction and easily leaves other dogs alone when redirected. He could also be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home. Jackaroo has a fun, playful side and loves spending time with people in the yard. Whether he’s hanging out soaking up attention or running around exploring his surroundings, he enjoys being part of the action. Jackaroo would do well in a home with children or adults only, and he’s ready to bring joy, companionship, and plenty of personality to his forever family. Adoption fee is: $450 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Story
Meet this handsome little guy, Latte Biscuit! He is a 2 month old Shih Tzu/Chi puppy. He’s a chill, independent boy who’s just as happy snuggling up for a nap as he is chasing toys and exploring. He loves to sleep, but when he wakes up, he has the cutest playful zoomies. He gets along with everyone — kids, adults, and other dogs — and has such a gentle, easygoing personality. He’s the perfect mix of relaxed and fun, and he’s ready to find a loving forever home where he can nap, play, and be your best buddy. This puppy has had 2 of 3 rounds of its puppy vaccines and has also been dewormed. The adopter is responsible for getting their puppy to one of CAMO's approved vets, so they must be adopted local to the greater Houston or Dallas areas with a signed spay/neuter contract. Until they are fully vaccinated, they will need to avoid public places! Adoption fee is: $550 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
