Mistletoe was dumped at a vet clinic on Christmas Day with a broken pelvis before coming into the rescue. This little trooper is a sweet and calm Shih Tzu and is now safe with her foster. Her pelvis is now being assessed and then we will get her up to date on shots, prevention, and have her spayed and microchipped. Meet Mayor, a kind-hearted 23 lbs 10 year old senior Lhasa Apso/Shih-tzu mix. If you are looking for a relaxing companion to accompany you on daytime naps and lounges in the sun, you have found your guy! He has gotten along great with his foster dog siblings and has been friendly with everyone he has met. Mayor is great with all people and dogs - as long as they respect that he is vision-impaired and are gentle with him. It is scary not being able to see well, but Mayor doesn't seem to let it slow him down. This sweet little man would love a forever home to live out his golden years. Mayor is almost completely blind, so he will need a family that is patient with him in his early days at home while he learns his area and his routine. Once he has gotten used to his routine, he is good with his house-training and knows to go potty outside. He is also great on a leash and on car rides. He is neutered, up to date on shots, hw negative, microchipped and just had a dental. Adoption fee is: $100 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract.
