Meet Muggles, a 13 year old Shih Tzu Dachshund mix looking for a calm, loving forever home. He belonged to my grandparents, and I am helping rehome him because they can no longer care for him. Muggles is very sweet, affectionate, and low maintenance. He enjoys short walks, treats, and being near his people. He does well with other dogs and cats and mostly ignores other pets. He has not been around many kids, so a quieter home is preferred. He does have separation anxiety and may have accidents if left alone too long. He has back issues and should live in a home with no stairs or very minimal stairs. He should not jump on or off furniture. He has had an enlarged heart his entire life and has done well. Muggles will come with his bed, toys, and everything he needs.

This adorable blond Shih Tzu has a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. He was born with a congenital malformation in his back legs (they’re straight instead of bent), but don’t tell him that—he has no idea he’s any different! Happy runs, plays, and zooms around just like any other pup. There’s truly no slowing him down. Happy loves everyone he meets and hands out kisses freely. He’s always smiling, always ready to play, and his cheerful energy is absolutely contagious. He enjoys playing with toys and would thrive in a home with another friendly dog around his size to romp and relax with. Because he’s a spirited little guy with “selective hearing” when it comes to recall, a secure fenced yard is a must for his safety. If you’re looking for a loyal, joyful, one-of-a-kind companion who’ll fill your life with laughter and love, Happy is waiting with a grin and a wagging tail.

Story
Memaw came from our grandmother. She is a friendly, energetic 9 year old. Ideally, her experienced companion person would be a home-body that stays active with her as she is a velcro-dog. She’ll jog or chase a ball, but doesn’t care for chew toys. Memaw loves warm laps by the TV. Her person would need to patiently set boundaries as she barely knows “sit” & “lay down” & will likely eat things she shouldn’t when unsupervised. So she needs a calm, clean home. She needs more house training because she grew up with a doggy door, but luckily she’s good on leash walks. Though she’s friendly with animals, she’s doesn’t understand boundaries, & may be too much for them. Memaw is currently praise & treat-motivated as she is underweight (14lbs) but should be about 16-18lbs, so extra meals & potty breaks are required till then. She has mild skin allergies, but knows groomers & is mostly calm on car rides. She’s had puppies before, but is now spayed. She has one shorter ear due to an old injury.
