Meet Oreo!!! This sweet little girl was found in a cage on the sidewalk in downtown Philadelphia. She was taken to ACCT Philly and we were able to pull her out of the shelter and into our rescue where she would be fostered in a loving environment and not a cage. Oreo is it a Shih Tzu estimated to be around four years old. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and on preventatives. Oreo loves to snuggle with her people, with other dogs, or just relax by herself. She gets along with dogs both big and small as well as cats. She loves running around the fully fenced in yard at her foster home. She also likes going for walks and walks very nice on a leash. She does well when crated if you have to go out but also does fine if confined to a room if you need to go away. She does have an occasional accident in the home but has come a long way and has been doing so much better with going potty outside (regression is common when changing environments). hi Darla, this pretty lady is a 8-year-old, 20 lbs. Shih Tzu / Bichon mix. She was surrendered to our care with another dog from commercial breeder when they was no longer needed. Darla spent many years being used for nothing more than profit. It's remarkable how far she has come since arriving. Darla was initially very timid and now, she greets every volunteer with a wagging tail and loves curling up on each lap she meets. She does well in play groups and is such a happy little lady now.
