Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   November is National Adopt A Senior Pet Month, what a perfect time to adopt and give this super cute girl a loving, forever home of her own. This is Honey, she's a Shih Tzu, is 14 years old, weighs 18 pounds and is as sweet as her name. She came to us after her Mom developed health issues and was unable to keep her. She's spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, was given dewormer, has a Seresto Collar to keep those pesky fleas and ticks at bay and was negative for Heartworm and Lyme. Honey is house and leash trained, is well behaved so crating isn't necessary. Honey likes everyone she meets, she gets along with the other small dogs in her foster home but would be just as happy being the only furbaby and getting all the love and attention. She enjoys going on car rides, going on walks, cuddling with her people, playing with toys, taking naps and sleeping in bed with her foster mom and dad. Honey will be a great little companion for someone, if that's you, please click on the following link to fill out an application. https://www.pethelpersinc.org/adoption-application/   Honey is being fostered in Fairmont, WV.     Adoption Fees: PUPPIES (under 1 year) $250.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm/lyme test (if applicable), two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medicine and microchip. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one  round of flea medication, and Microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00,   Includes spay or neuter,  vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip. For more information on this animal email adoptionisforever@pethelpersinc.org. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc. Story
Teddy is 21 weeks old. He is a mix and was purchased by a friend who, unfortunately, is now very ill and unable to care for him. We are fostering him, and would like to keep him ourselves, but we have a very busy work schedule with lots of travel. Ideally, he would go to a young family or someone who could devote their time to him. He is very bright and in the two weeks he has been with us is doing really well with potty training ( going on his puppy pads if we have not paid attention to him needing to go!) he sits when told, and gives his paw. He has a super sweet nature and loves to hang out with people. Very gentle with our neighbor's kids and loves to play fetch. He sleeps through the night without any accidents at all! He also loves to snuggle and watch movies. He comes with everything you could possibly need to care for a new puppy. He is very unsure of other dogs, so probably would prefer to be an only fur baby. We would also puppy-sit anytime as we will miss him.
