You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application.The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!My name is Tippy Toes probably because I dance around on them all the time!  Mom calls me the automatic mop.  She's always smiling when she says it so it must be a good thing :)Mom says no tiny or older dogs because I'm too boisterous and have been known to jump on one of the seniors and not give up trying to get them to play.  I need a fun dog friend with lots of energy like me!!MUST have a fenced yardMUST have another young dog as a playmateVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ruby Goose is a beautiful 7 year old 12 pound Shih Tzu looking for her perfect forever home. She has made great progress here in rescue, but did have an incident that caused her to lose an eye. Ruby is good with other level headed dogs, but unfortunately she didn't mesh with her foster sister and was the recipient of trauma. HOWEVER, she has no residual issues with dogs and lives happily in a large pack of small dogs in her foster home, but a potential home should know thei dog and if they aren't tolerant of others then Ruby won't be a good fit. She is very well trained with tons of commands, crate trained (and should continue using a crate to eat and sleep in a new home to ensure she keeps healthy boundaries), leash trained, and house trained on pee pads or to go outside. Ruby Goose loves adventures, car rides, toys, and playful furry siblings as long as they aren't cats, since she doesn't like the feline species. Ruby Goose is a great little girl, but can get out of hand if you don't set clear boundaries that she is a dog and a crate must be used as we say to ensure she lives a happy life with healthy attachments to her adult humans. This girl is all healed, healthy, and ready for a home of her own! To adopt Ruby Goose, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. Stitch was returned to us after being in a home for over a year. He is a very sweet little boy who takes awhile to warm up to new people. Once he knows you he gets will give kisses and sit by you side all day. He is nervous at times so he needs a dog savvy caregiver who is home most of the time with him. He is ok when meeting other dogs and cats but believe he would do best in a home where he is the only dog. He is housebroken and loves to play with his toys and go for walks.

Chixi, pronounced "See-Chee is an adorable 7.5lb female Shih Tzu who's owner recently passed away. Don't let her age fool you because she definitely acts MUCH younger than her actual age. She loves teeny tennis balls, toys, and playing fetch. She adores people and snuggling. She will melt into you for hugs when picked up! She is good with other dogs of all sizes, cats and kids.
