Story
Ollie is a sweet 2yr old Shih Tzu that is looking to start over with a new family. He decided he didn’t like his dog sibling (a much bigger dog) and the family was afraid he would get hurt. He definitely wants to be the boss, so a family that is loving but also sets boundaries, would be his ideal home. He loves hard and wants to be with his person every minute of the day. When left, he does have anxiety, but that should improve with time. His previous family crated him at night but he absolutely loves to sleep beside his person. He is being fostered with Cats. They do not run from him, so he has not chased them even though at times, he would really love them to takeoff running from him. ðŸ\x90¾â\x9D¤ï¸\x8Fhttps://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41Disclaimer: I am located in Texas. Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 2/21/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Henry to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet our handsome boy Henry! He is a shih tzu/poodle mix. Yes, he is hypoallergenic which means he doesn't shed. He turned 1 year of age on 1/23/25. He weighs 7.7 lbs. Yes, he is full grown, and at a very healthy weight. He is just a small little guy. He is neutered, current on all vaccines, microchipped, had a thourel exam with our vet, and has offically been cleared to find a home all his own. He is house trained, and goes out every 3-4 hours to use the restroom when needed. He has been excellent about going outside, and hasn't had any accidents in the few months we have had him. He is crate trained, and sleeps beautifully in his crate at night or to nap in during the day. The crate has always been a place of comfort to him, and if used the same way in his next home it would be extremely beneficial while he settles in and learns his new home with you 💙 He would definitely be able to sleep on a dog bed aside yours, or in bed with you if that's where you would like him eventually so Ild say the choice is yours to make and he would happily abide as he is always eager to please. He is doing very well on leash, and loves to take strolls around the neighborhood when the weather is nicer. He is a little shy when first meeting anyone he doesn't know, but we have noticed that as his confidence in the world grows, so does the confidence within himself ❤️ He is a total sweetheart, and one that just needs a little guidence while he navigates life 😊 He does really well with other dogs, but is a bit intimidated by big dogs and will steer away from them if there energy is too much for him. He gets along great with smaller dogs, and loves to play but his true happiness comes when he is with his human so as long as he has someone to love he will be happy and will flourish in his next home, but having a little friend won't hurt either so if you have another dog, or cat he would happily join their lives as she would yours 💙 He is not a barker, but will alert you of unfamiliar noise. He is rather quiet, and serene tempered and doesn't ask for much to keep his little heart happy. He loves snuggles, and to be in your arms but if you are busy tending to other things he will nap near by, or patiently wait for your attention to return to him. He is not high energy, or high maintenance at all. He is easy to please, and even easier to love so I guarentee by adding him to your world, you will be doing just that ADDING him as if he had always been a part of it just with an added bonus of snuggles whenever your heart needs them 💓 He has wonderful manners in the home. He has great recall and always comes when called. He listens very well, and has learned to beg with his two front paws because he knows it tugs on our hearts and not only makes us smile, but gets him what he wants to especially if it's treat related as he is a foodie by heart!! He is amazing on road trips, so he would make an awesome traveling partner wherever the road may take you. He also loves the groomer, so spay days are happy filled days for him! He is an incredible little guy with a lot of love to give so if your life could use even a little of what he has to offer then help us make his life complete by adding him to yours ❤️❤️ His adoption fee is on our website at the very bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/henry It covers his neuter, microchip/registration, vaccines, exam with our vet, the care involved in the few months he has been with us, his grooming costs, and the training we have personally done with him.

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 2/21/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Chloe to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet our beautiful girl Chloe. She turns 2 on 3/5/25. She weighs 13.2 lbs. Yes, she is full grown and at a very healthy weight. She is a shih tzu/poodle mix. Yes, she is hypoallergenic and doesn't shed. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had an umbilical hernia repaired at time of her spay, had an overall great exam with our vet, and has officially been cleared to find a home all her own ❤️ She is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom when needed. We have a very tight schedule here, and will ask if she needs to be let out every 2-3 hours. If she does, she will walk right out, if not she will simply not 😊 She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate at night. Regardless of how you use the crate in your home; whether for her to sleep in at night, or to be in while you step out of the home she will be just fine. She is very easy going, and attentive to what you ask of her. She would happily sleep on a dog bed aside yours, or in bed if that's what you prefer, but she hasn't begun that with us here. None the less it would be an easy transition. She is doing very good at leash training. It is still new to her as her past owners never walked her. They were a much older couple, who had mobility issues so they couldn't do much out of the home with her aside from enjoy her company in the home. That was ultimately what led them to us here. Their medical issues were increasingly getting worse to the point they couldn't lift Chloe anymore, and they feared if she ever had an emergency they wouldn't be able to get her into their vehicle and to the vets so they asked us to take her in and find her a great new home where she would be valued, and treasured ♥️ She is very good with other dogs, but prefers human companionship over animals. She is a total sweetheart all around. She isn't a barker at all, and is one to hang back while her humans investigate any noise lol. She is very easy going, and not high energy or high maintenance. She is very easy to please, and a joy to be around. She is amazing at the groomers, and loves her spa days. My groomer told us that she completely melts for her, and loves the pampering a little too much 😂 She is great on road trips, and loves to drive around town so I'm sure that she no matter the length of journey ahead she will be happy just to be a part of it! She loves treats (especially cheese 🙃.) She is very good motivated which has made training very easy. She is well behaved, and well mannered. She is perfect in our home, and has respected every boundary we have put up for her. She is quiet, and very serene natured. She loves to nap, and sometimes likes to lay perched up on the sofa. She lived with cats in her prior home, so they taught her the scenery is better from a higher point 😆 Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/chloe-2 It covers her spay. She was in heat at time of spay, so there was an in heat spay increase due to longer anesthesia time. It also covers her umbilical hernia repair that was done at time of her spay, her vaccines, microchip/registration, antibiotic injection given to aid in her in heat spay, and hernia repair, her exam with our vet which included the exam of her ears, and teeth which were both in great health, and as always it helps contribute towards the care involved in the time she has been with us, her grooming costs, and the training we have personally done with her ❤️

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 2/21/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Lizzy to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Lizzy. She is a beautiful shih tzu mix. Mom was a purebred shih tzu, and dad was a shih tzu/poodle mix. She looks more shih tzu than anything and is beautiful nonetheless 😍 She turned 1 year of age on 2/3/25. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental cleaning, along with a hernia repaired at time of her spay, and had an overall wonderful exam with our vet who has cleared her to find a home all her own! She has a very CALM demeanor, and is always lounging somewhere around the home whether on a dog bed, or inside a dog crate. She is very independent and will nap throughout the day while you are busy with yours if needed. She doesn't ask for much at all, aside from knowing breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served 🙃 She is very content just being a part of your world, however she fits into it! She is wonderful with all dogs and cats alike. She is a beautiful part of our pack here, and is a friend to all. She does enjoy playing with other calm natured, sweet, playful dogs. She doesn't seek them out, but is always readily available to hang with them if they come to her ❤️ She however, doesn't need animal companionship in her next home as she is very confident all by herself, and would equally enjoy being her persons friend 💕 She is NOT a barker, and while alert of unfamiliar noises doesn't tend to investigate them unless they really spark her curiosity. She listens very well, and has great eye contact so it has made training very easy with her. She aims to please, and is always ready to do as you ask (if she isn't too comfortable that is 😂 because then it may take some convincing but nothing a special treat wouldn't help fix 😊.) She is amazing on road trips, and loves to travel around town every chance she gets so we take her with us when we can to fill her little heart with some road time! She is very good at the groomers, and loves being dolled up 🥰 She is always excited when she realizes our trip leads us to her fave groomer 😊 She is house trained, and will happily go outside to use the restroom when asked to. She loves to walk around the yard and get in her daily exercise 😂 or sunbathe if the weather is nice enough to do so! We have her on a pretty great schedule and take her out every 3-4 hours and never has any accidents in between. She is really great ❤️ She is crate trained and has no problem sleeping in her crate at night if needed. She does however sleep on a dog bed in our room at the moment which she loves, so either sleeping arrangement would work for her as she wouldn't fuss either way! She is leash trained, and would very much rather get her exercise at with with a walk the neighborhood, so if you are looking for a reason to get your steps in, I'm sure Lizzy would convince you she is all the reason you'll ever need ❤️❤️❤️ Her prior owner faced a lot of medical issues with her aging mother and with her across the country had to make the hard decision to move back home to care for her. She would have loved to take Lizzy with her, but knew her life itself would change drastically and didn't want Lizzy to feel any of that change so she reached out to us to take her in and find her a great home ❤️ Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/lizzy-1 While great, it barely covers half of what we spent in vet care alone, but having her feeling 100 percent is all that matters to us in the end! It covers her spay, dental cleaning and extractions (she had quite a few extractions due to an infection in her gums sadly that her prior owner was unaware of. She has more than enough teeth left to eat a normal diet, and no her tongue doesn't stick out!) It also covers her umbilical hernia repair that was done at time of her spay, her vaccines, microchip/registration, antibiotic injection given to aid in her spay, dental cleaning/extractions, and hernia repair, her exam with our vet which included the exam of her ears which were in great health, and as always it helps contribute towards the care involved in the time she has been with us, her grooming costs, and the training we have personally done with her ❤️
