The ones who came to us with very little human contact, unsure and scared of the world around them… 💔 Meet Spring 🌸 Spring has been quietly working so hard behind the scenes, and while she’s not fully “there” yet, she’s made beautiful progress in her own way. She is now spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, and ready to find a very special home that understands her journey. While she was being spayed, the vet did note that she is missing a few of her adult teeth something we sometimes see in dogs who haven't had the best start in life. Spring is still a timid little girl. She will need time, patience, and a family who won’t expect too much too soon. When you meet her, she likely won’t come right up to you, and that’s okay. Trust for her is something that builds slowly. But once she feels safe, you start to see her shine ✨ Every morning she gets excited to see her foster and greets her with the cutest little bark and wag. She follows her around the house, wanting to be close, even if she’s not quite ready for full affection yet. She’s still learning about the world, walks are new (and right now she prefers not to move at all 😅), and stairs are a bit scary. The foster is working on it, and having another confident dog in the home could really help her continue to grow. She has not been crated and does best in a calm, patient environment where she can go at her own pace. He enjoys his walks throughout the neighbourhood, romping in the backyard with his doggie pal, & carrying his large ball-stuffy around the house (no little toys for him!) He has really settled down in his quiet adult foster home. He is tentative & cautious when meeting new people, & needs a slow introduction -- no kids, please. He is completely vetted, healthy, neutered, vaccinated (Rabies, DHPP, Leptospirosis), perfect bloodwork, & negative 4dx. He rides quietly in the car & behaves well at the groomers. Romeo also has dry eye and will need daily eye drops long-term to keep him comfortable. This sweet boy enjoys walks, making friends with calm dogs, and sharing quality cuddle time. Once he's had his exercise, Romeo's ideal afternoon involves lounging on the couch next to his favorite human. Romeo needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time. He requires a muzzle for applying topical medications until a bond of trust is established. With consistent, gentle care, Romeo will flourish into the loving companion he's meant to be.
