Meet Wilma of the Flintstones family!Wilma is a 4 year old shih tzu who weighs 9 lbs. Wilma came to Canine Collective from an Amish puppy mill with 3 other small dogs, Betty, Barney and Fred of course. Pottying outside is a work in progress and is learning to use puppy pads indoors. She is currently staying in a foster home with Betty and gains much comfort by the presence of another same size dog. For that reason we will require another dog to be in the home of her adopter.Wilma will approach her foster mom for pets, but when mom initiates touch, she is unsure and retreats. We are confident that in time and with the presence of a canine sibling, our girl will be the confident pet she was meant to be. Charlie is a four year old, 16 lbs. male Shih Tzu who is shy and quiet. He has a beautiful black coat. He loves snuggling right next to you and looks up at you with complete adoration in his big, dark eyes. Charlie is pee pad trained and he never misses. He is working on going outside, which will be easy since he loves treats and rewards and being petted. He is great on his daily walks too. Charlie is very friendly and likes people and other dogs and can be playful at times. He is timid and shy, so it takes him a bit to warm up to strangers and will watch and assess them from a safe corner. Charlie needs a quiet house with a family who will be patient and continue to draw him out of his shell. He needs a home with another quiet dog to keep him company, and help him socialize. Barry is protective and doesn't like kids. Teenagers are ok. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Barry is not house trained. Barry weighs 23 lbs. Barry's adoption fee is $250. I got herbie roughly three years ago as puppy. He’ll be 3 February 1st I’m looking for someone who will take care of him, he loves eating fresh food and he’s a very active dog . If you are an experienced adopter even better . He does need some training but he’s a quick learner. I am not very experienced when it comes to training but I did the best I could. He also enjoys cuddles, tummy rubs and long walks . Some nice treats during the day will be lovely . Herbie is a very loving and playful, wouldn’t be an issue around kids or other pets . He doesn’t like bath's as much but he tolerates it . He does get head shy when grooming so just be patient with him. I have had a few case where I had to pay extra for grooming. He gets really anxious too . The vets have prescribed some medication for anxiety during his visit to the vet . So I would be looking for someone who is financially stable.
