Story
Mom!!! Are you out there??? This darling little man was picked up as a stray who cannot see where he was going! Possibly a Shih Tzu Maltese Havanese mix of some sort? 10 pounds seems to be completely blind and only 3-4 years old??? he was pulled from a Kill facility and has moved into my house effortlessly! He gets along great with all of the other dogs. Knows where the door is to go potty. He is crate, trained, and House broke. He has an absolute joy and happy as he could be!!! it would’ve been a shame for this sweet boy to have a euthanized just because he has a disability. So mom or dad if you’re out there, please let us know! He will make Make A. a nice addition to most any family !! He has been neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm, tested, negative, heartworm prevention, flea, and tick prevention for three months and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $400 that reference required.

Story
🐾❤️Meet Blanche and George❤️🐾 This young pair were found together and never claimed. They were dirty and matted when found. They’re about 1 year old and get along with cats and other dogs. We are treating them as a bonded pair as George visibly lights up when he sees Blanche and they don’t appear to like being apart. They are a sweet, affectionate and outgoing pair and appear to be in need of housebreaking. Canine adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter Age appropriate vaccinations Deworming Flea prevention (if required) Heartworm screening/monthly prevention ** Volunteer dog walkers work with our dogs 7 days a week. What your adoption fee also includes is housetraining, leash walking and a good understanding of the kind of home each dog would thrive in. ADOPTION FEE: $ 150 "People who say money can't buy you happiness, have never paid an adoption fee...." IS THIS DOG SAFE WITH CATS? There is almost always an acclimation period when a new pet joins the household. We are happy to suggest a few ways to ease the transition. If one of our dogs is reported to have lived with cats previously, that will be indicated in the dog's description! IS THIS DOG GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS? No dog loves every other dog, just as humans do not like every other human they meet. A proper introduction (meet and greet) would be required as part of our application process. IS THIS DOG GOOD WITH CHILDREN? The better question is how the children have been taught to handle animals. A dog will respond negatively if he/she is not being handled properly. We can offer suggestions on how to teach children to interact with dogs and pay attention to body language. Young children should never be left unsupervised with new dogs. WHY IS THIS DOG IN THE SHELTER? The top reasons dogs are given up are: Moving without considering the needs of the pets Death of the owner with no plan in place for the pets Previous owner did not provide appropriate training Owner did not consider the lifespan of a dog Owner did not consider the cost of providing for a dog
