Story
Belle is five months old, and is the sweetest cuddle bug. She is one of seven from an accidental litter, so while we wish we could keep each and every one we know that is not feasible. We are looking for a fun and loving home that can play with her and also mentally stimulate her. She has not been fully house trained yet, but she has been taught to sit and we believe she will be a quick learner.

Story
My name is Sam the Shitzu. My foster mom says I am a bundle of energy, so she was more than surprised to hear I am about 5 years old. I live with 4 fur-fosters about my size. During the day we love running around outside chasing squirrels or racing for toys my foster mom throws for us. We each sleep in our own crates for naps (while humans are away) and bedtime. I am relatively quiet in my crate throughout the night unless I hear a noise or know my humans are around. Sometimes I do get lonely and I will let the world know, lol. Yes, I am a barker, and I might be mistaken for a larger dude, unlike a yippy pomeranian. I travel well in a crate in the car, it did take a couple rides to get used to it, I will admit. I walk best on a leash with a harness; I am a bit stubborn and insist on leading the way, yes “it’s my way or the highway”! I do love being the center of attention. I will jump onto the chair to sit next to you. I love being pet, and although I do not growl I do get nippy when I play and get excited to play! But you cannot blame me! I have been sick and hurting for a long time and NOW that I have my horrible hernia repaired, am neutered and had big bladder stones removed, AND my cherry eye repaired! I am HAPPY AND PLAYFUL!! I feel like I am reliving my puppyhood and am looking for someone who can keep up with me! My diet consists of Honest Kitchen (great for hiding liquid medicine) and some treats like bell and sweet peppers (so-so), cooked smashed carrots, cucumber (so-so), papaya, pineapple, cheeses, hard boiled egg… most of which are great for hiding pills of any sort. I cannot wait to meet my furever family 💕 I have so much love to give. My furever family will be a happy and loving family, older kids are better than the young ones, active and do not live in an apartment because i do bark. I would love to have someone who works from home so I can cuddle and play ALL DAY LONG!! But I am good in a crate if you need to leave me :D ADOPT ME SOON!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Pappy the Shih Tzu mix. I am not sure why I got the name of Pappy, because that sounds like I am about a hundred years old. Which I am certainly not! I am only about 2 and have lots of years left in me. I suppose foster mom did that because I was in the box with my probable kids. I don’t have DNA or anything but they kind of look like me so I will claim them. They are pretty good guys and I like them. We hang around like the 3 amigos, and then we got squished together in that darn cardboard box and let at Cavenders dealership. That was just plain rude! Fortunately, we were found before we melted, and brought to rescue. There we received food, and beds, and medical care. I am in pretty good shape now, got all the shots up to date, no heartworms, have a microchip if I lose my new owner on a walk, and boy is it nice to have a yard to run in instead of a box. I wasn’t impressed with getting the snip snip but it was worth the trade off! I am looking for a forever home, so if it is with you, please apply for me soon! My adoption fee locally is $350 in Texas. Out-of-state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Sandy the Pug/shih tzu mix. Hello there! I have a pop quiz for you! What do you want to get when you go to a place like Cavender Toyota? A car, right? Or a truck? Would you believe that 3 of us cute pups were dropped off there in a box? I am not sure what kind of person would do that in this weather and there isn’t much food on the outside of the car dealership either. But we lucked out as that person was a great guy and he contacted God’s Dogs rescue and here we are! Safe and healthy in a home with our foster mom. So, about me. I am approximately 10 months old and have the typical little underbite that pugs have. One of the guys in the box with me was my presumed Dad, Pappy, the shih tzu mix. We don’t have that in DNA but he does kind of look like us, or us like him, except I have the Pug coloring, and my brother, Cricket, has Dad’s coloring. I am doing well with house training and will get some leash training this week too. I am smart so am sure it will go well. I have a sweet personality and get along with the other pups in the household and am just happy to be out of the box and running in a yard! I have already been vaccinated, gotten rabies, a microchip, and been fixed and tested for tick diseases and I am good to go to my forever home anytime you want to come and get me. My adoption fee locally is $250 in Texas. Out-of-state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Cricket the Pug/shih tzu mix. I guess that Sandy already asked you about the car dealership quiz so I won’t repeat that but it was hot in that box. I will say that. We don’t have that in DNA but he does kind of look like us, or us like him, except Sandy has the Pug coloring, and I take after Dad in his coloring. I am doing well with house training and will get some leash training this week too. I am smart so am sure it will go well. I have a sweet personality too but am a little more shy at first, but I do warm up quickly with attention. I get along with the other pups in the household and am just happy to be out of the box and running in a yard! I have already been vaccinated, gotten rabies, a microchip, and been fixed and tested for tick diseases and I am good to go to my forever home anytime you want to come and get me. Story
Yoshi is a true gem - a gentle, lovable senior who has lifelong unconditional love to give. Yoshi is a small Shih Tzu and is approximately 11 years old. He is slowing down a bit... some would say that he is as slow as a snail! Yoshi is blind so he needs to be carried because he cannot see where he is going...he must be transported around the house and to his food, outside and to bed. His world is a little dark, and he needs his human to guide him to where he needs to go. He has had surgery on his teeth, leaving only a few good teeth in his mouth, so soft food is a must for him. He will also need eye drops daily, morning and night for dry eye. His eyes also will need to be wiped daily. Although Yoshi will require some special care, he will definitely show you his appreciation with his constant companionship. Yoshi is the ultimate lapdog that is very loving, loyal, sweet and trustworthy. He loves other dogs and cats, and he is great with kids too! Even though he does love other dogs, he does not like them around his food while he is eating, so his human will need to be aware of his food protection. Yoshi will melt your heart with his slow movements, gentle nature, and love for cuddling and affection. He is incredibly sweet and loves nothing more than being around his people. Yoshi absolutely loves to cuddle in bed with you and will stay there all day waiting for you to come get him! Yoshi's heart belongs to his humans, and he must sleep in bed with you, so if you are not willing to share your bed, Yoshi may not be the dog for you. There is no playing with toys or going on walks for Yoshi, those days are behind him! Now he just longs for getting carried around and loved on. He doesn't need much outside of his daily eye drops, soft food, and some extra care. Yoshi is house trained and has been very reliable while in foster care, so you can count on him to do his potty business outside. He is a true easygoing old man who just wants love and attention. Yoshi is a special boy who will thrive in a loving home where he can be pampered and cared for in his golden years. He's gentle and loving and deserves just the same in return. He may be an ancient baby, but he has a heart full of love and a soul that just wants to be close to his family. If you are the perfect human to give Yoshi the care and love he needs, go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/ adopt to apply! His adoption fee is $160 and he is UTD on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
