Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Quinn’s adoption donation is $475 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning. Meet Quinn – Your Future Snuggle Buddy! With her soulful eyes and heart full of love, Quinn is a typical shih tzu who’s ready to find her forever person. This little sweetheart is a total cuddlebug who wants nothing more than to be by your side—whether you're watching TV, going for a walk, or sneaking her a bite of your snack (yes, she's always down to share your meal!). Quinn lives for love and affection. She’s happiest being held, doted on, and included in everything you do. She's playful in a gentle, quirky way—she adores toys (especially tearing them apart!) and will adorably stand on her back legs to paw at you when she wants attention. Trust us, it’s impossible to resist. She’s low energy, content to snooze the day away between short walks and cuddle sessions. While she’s not super into other dogs, she coexists peacefully with them and is also good with cats. Older, calm kids would likely be a good match too. That said, Quinn’s journey hasn’t been easy—she’s a puppy mill survivor, so she’s still learning to trust. Strangers make her nervous at first, and she’s not a fan of crates. But with patience, love, and a gentle hand, she blossoms into a loyal, loving companion who will follow you anywhere. Her ideal home? Quiet, calm, and filled with love. She’d do best with someone who’s home often, enjoys daily walks, and can help her continue to build confidence. She has dry eye and will need daily eye drops (she’s a bit squirmy about it—but we’re working on it!). Potty training is a work in progress; she uses puppy pads but sometimes has accidents if left unsupervised. A patient adopter who can support her routine will help her thrive. Quinn may have had a rough start, but she has so much love to give. If you're looking for a sweet, silly, and devoted little shadow who just wants to be loved—Quinn is your girl.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  April 2, 2025, 10:06 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Freddie’s adoption donation is $350 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworm and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. He has also had a dental cleaning. Freddie came into rescue through no fault of his own when his owner unexpectedly had to surrender him. Freddie is a super easy going dog who loves his people! He is friendly, loves toys and is overall a good boy. He really likes his walks and exploring in the yard.   Freddie does not need a fenced in yard but does need a companion dog. Freddie can't wait to find his forever home, will you be it?  Freddie does get anxiety when riding in a car or being left alone at home without other dogs or  people.  He is fine as long as others are around though.   Freddie's potty habits are very good.  He let's you know when he has to go out.  He is a very sweet dog and is friendly to all.  He likes people and dogs alike, although I am not sure about cats.  He loves his little blue hoodie, and he looks adorable in it.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hayes’s adoption donation is $500 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. He has also had a dental cleaning. Although Hayes came into rescue from a puppy mill with the typical behaviors, today, he is a happy, playful guy, plays with toys, looks out the windows, the patio and the screened porch, and likes to be chased.  In fact, you might just think he is a bit shy.  He will carry his toys around with him, and so he will help with the laundry if you drop anything on the floor!  He sits to allow his harness and leash to be put on.  He comes when you call him.  He loves dinner time and treats (no calling is necessary - he knows where to go!)  and he would give his favorite stuffie for another dog to play with.  He has turned into quite the power walker, and enjoys going, setting a brisk pace, and will do his business.  He travels calmly and relaxed in the car.  Housetraining is most successful when he is kept on a schedule.  He will need a fenced yard.  He also may need medicated baths to limit yeast growth.   The perfect home for Hayes will have patient humans, and a companion dog who is easy-going, will take him on walks, and make sure he has lots of toys.  He has come so far.  Does your pack have room for this little guy?  He sure hopes so!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Olivia’s adoption donation is $500 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning. Olivia requires a home with a companion dog of similar size/energy and a secure, physically fenced yard. Olivia is a mill mom who is just the sweetest girl. She is a little shy but once she warms up to you, she will be your best friend! She loves her person but also loves to be alone and sleep on her foster mom’s bed. She is LOVES treats and will eat all her foster sisters  treats if she could. She likes toys and loves to bring them to bed with her. She will need a patient home as she is working on mastering the art of potty training. She is still shy of the “outside world’ so leash walking is a little scary. Olivia definitely needs to have a fur-sibling of similar size and energy to learn all the dog things from. She is such a sweet girl and just wants to be loved! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Destiny’s adoption donation is $475, and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, and is fully vaccinated—including rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella. She has tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Destiny has also had a dental cleaning. Destiny came into rescue through no fault of her own after being released from a commercial puppy mill—but don’t let that deter you. She has made incredible progress in foster care and is blossoming into a confident, happy girl. She walks well on a leash and does not require a fenced yard. Destiny is Miss Independent—she doesn’t need a companion dog but gets along well with other animals. Her favorite things include chasing leaves, playing with toys, enjoying dental chews, and simply being near her person. She loves companionship but isn’t overly affectionate, which makes her a great match for someone who appreciates a calm, loyal presence. Destiny would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as she doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods. She’s doing well with potty training when kept on a consistent schedule. Destiny is ready to find her forever family—the one who will give her the life she’s always deserved.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chancey's adoption donation is $350 and he is being fostered in Mansfield, Ohio. Chancey has received top-notch veterinary care: he’s neutered, microchipped, up to date on rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention, as well as flea prevention. He’s also had a dental cleaning with a few extractions and has recovered beautifully—now he's ready to flash that sweet senior smile your way! Meet Chancey – A Distinguished Gentleman Looking for Love Chancey is the very definition of a gentle soul. This handsome senior came into rescue through no fault of his own, and while life may have shifted, his loving heart and charming personality shine brighter than ever. At this stage in life, Chancey knows what he likes: porch sitting, car rides, tasty treats (he's a fan of fruits and veggies!), and most of all—being close to his person. He’s a true cuddle connoisseur who prefers a cozy bed (yours, if you don’t mind sharing), a warm lap, and a quiet home where he can enjoy the good life at a slower pace. Chancey does well with house training when kept on a schedule and is learning to communicate his needs—sometimes with a little extra volume! Chancey believes in speaking his mind—his sassy commentary adds to his charm, but it does make him better suited to a home without shared walls.' He’s currently living with another low-energy dog, though he’d also be perfectly content as the center of your world. He’s on medication to keep his arthritis pain managed, but stairs can be tricky for him—so a ranch-style home or one with minimal steps would be perfect. Chancey may have a few gray hairs, but he’s still got so much love to give. He’s looking for a calm, loving home (without young children) where he can bask in attention, enjoy the occasional healthy snack, and soak up every moment of his golden years. Looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold and a big personality?
