Percy has mastered the art of balancing chill vibes with playful energy. By day, he’s your backyard explorer, chasing foster siblings and sniffing around like the little adventurer he is. By night? Couch cuddles, of course! He’s already housebroken (thank goodness for that!) and shows zero interest in marking indoors—making him practically perfect in every way. Car rides? He’s a pro. Leash walking? Well, he's still figuring that one out, but a fenced yard would suit him just fine. At bedtime, Percy likes the comfort of his crate, but if you’re up for some late-night snuggles, he’s more than happy to share the big bed. Even though Percy isn't bouncing off the walls like some dogs his age, he’s not ready to be a couch potato just yet! He’ll thrive in a home that offers a balance of play, socializing, and downtime. A companion dog or regular doggy meetups would be his dream scenario. I have more videos on the rescue website! My name is Pepper. I weigh 7 lbs. (2/16). I am one in a litter of three. We were born around November 15. We are fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. Our mom weighed 7 pounds and our dad weighed 10 pounds. They were both family pets with great dispositions. We all have long bodies and short legs. We are not considered hypoallergenic or non-shedding since we are mixed breed puppies. We are well socialized and very loving. We love being held and petted, and we always greet our foster mom at the door with wagging tails and lots of kisses. We love to play with toys and with each other. We do like to chew on fingers and toes so we definitely need some training in this area. We have a medium energy level. We are working on house training. We sleep in a crate every night and we have learned not to potty in our crate. As soon as our crate door is opened every morning we run straight to the door to go outside and potty. We are good with the other dogs and love to play with them. I am the boldest of the three and the first to try anything new. I love to snooze in my foster’s lap! We provide hours of entertainment to our foster mom just watching us play. We are pretty typical puppies - we eat, sleep, play, and then start all over again. We have so much love to give and we are ready to go to our new forever homes! We will not be adopted in to homes with small children because we are so small. We are up-to-date on our puppy shots and we have been dewormed. We have already had a check up by the veterinarian. This is why Tilly sleeps in our bed at night. Tilly also likes to check out the garbage, so can must be secure or away. Allie Mae has none that I am aware of. 💕 MEDICAL ISSUES: None. ❣️ THE BEST HOME: A fenced in yard. They both come from neglectful situations, so a patient, understanding and loving home is what they are searching for. A home that wants to add both of them is our preference. Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue.
