First he's sour, then he's sweet. Much like a sour patch kid, Oscar is the definition of a rascal. The 13-pound, 7-year-old pup was surrendered to Pets Alive because he has one issue: He's a biter! While someone attempted to adopt Oscar recently, he just wasn't having it. So alas, this boy is back at the shelter, and we're working on muzzle training to determine his triggers. Given his selective attitude, Oscar is best suited for a dog-savvy home without children.

This handsome little fellow is Ace! He is a 19 week old male Shih Tzu mix. He is expected to be under 25lbs when he is full grown. He is super friendly and is very social. He loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. He still has lots of puppy energy and loves to romp and play. He is such a little lover and he never turns down a good belly rub. He would make the perfect lap dog! Although he is great with children, due to his small size we are not comfortable placing him in a home with children under the age of 7. He would make a great addition to just about any family! He is currently located down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. He can't wait to find his forever home!

Meet Cassie.... What a SWEET HEART.... Puppy mills rarely surrender their profit makers, but when they do, we jump at the chance to get them out of their.... We are so happy to get her away from that lifestyle. To think she spent years in a small cage, as a breeding machine. Cassie is a 5 year old female Shihtzu.. She is so adorable, so sweet, so gentle. Cassie is alittle shy when it comes to people. We can only assume she has not had the best interactions with people from the mill she came from. Cassie has no fear with other dogs, she does really well with them. Cassie allows you to pet her and pick her up. Cassie lets us dress her up and she wears the clothes all day long. She is very easy going. She weighs 10 pounds. Considered fully hypoallergenic. Cassie will make a great companion for someone, she loves to follow people around and be close to u. We can't wait to get updates from the family who adopts this girl. Seeing them confident and comfortable in a forever home just melts our heart. She will be spayed on Nov 5th and will receive any additional vetting our vet feels she needs. Pics attached are before grooming and after grooming. She is using a wee wee pad and the outdoors for potty training. She loves being outside sun bathing. Meet Gusher.... What a handsome tri colored boy... Gusher and some siblings were the product of being " unsold" from a mid west puppy mill. When pups are not sold to private families or pet store chains, their fate becomes unknown. The older they get sitting in a puppy mill the less popular they are for purchase. Pet stores typically want younger pups to put in their store fronts. Rescues are able to obtain these unwanted pups, and that's where One Paw and lots of others step up. They deserve a better life as well. Gusher is a 12 week old male Teddy Bear. A Teddy Bear is a mix of Shihtzu and Bichon Frise. They are considered fully hypoallergenic. Perfect for people suffering from allergies. Gusher has a super tight curl and his tri colored markings are adorable. He is alittle on the shy side when meeting new people. Typical puppy mill trait since most don't get alot of positive human interaction.. Gusher is settling into his foster home and has been having a blast playing with the other pups. Gusher weighs around 5 pounds and will be around 15 pounds at full growth.. Using a wee wee pad and the outdoors for potty training.
