Meet Finley!Finley is an 11 mnth old Shih Tzu. He`s quite adorable! He has a beautiful chocolate colored coat. He`s very fun! He loves meeting new people and playing with toys. He has been the one and only dog, but he seems to like other dogs. He`s never been around cats or little children. He will need regular grooming every 6-8 weeks due to his breed. He enjoys car rides! He will make a wonderful new addition to a person or family that loves and understands Shih Tzus!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Sunny was born Nov 2023. She is a little shy when she meets you, but becomes your little shadow within a few days. She is beginning to take treats and play with toys. She is 8 lbs and should not get any larger.  Adoption fee is 650.00. We are working on housetraining. She gets along with other dogs, cats and older children.   Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only.
