Asha is a little Shih Tzu. She found herself in a shelter and almost was put to sleep. We pulled her out of there. She had a lot of fear aggression and we could barely get close to her. We took our time and let her decompress and observe. It took her about one month to decide we were trustworthy. At that time, we were able to then handle her and get her groomed as she was pretty matted up. We feel she is roughly around 6-8 yrs of age. She has learned to trust and has come forward but is a little glitchy and we would not recommend a home with children as children can be unpredictable. She does need an experienced handler with fear and also someone who understands grooming needs. She is a nice dog and has taught herself the dog door. She loves to eat and comes for cuddles. She absolutely loves toys and will hoard them. She might go backwards a bit when she gets moved again so someone with understanding and patience.   Adoption fee is 275 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..                        We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.      Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years therefore beagles under 3 years of age will not be adopted to anyone over the age of 62.  For more information or to submit an adoption application, please visit our website at http://www.southernnevadabeaglerescue.com . Yup, sweet Alfie is looking for his FURever home.We know everything about him, so ask us anything! Age: 11 yr young, 15 lbs, Shih Tzu, we got him off the transfer list at The Animal Foundation on 10/9, he came in as a "stray", so no history is available. Medical: Current on vaccines, microchipped, neutered. He is blind in one eye and has medication for the other eye. We had a senior blood panel, x-rays, urinalysis, Corneal Stain, and Tonometry test. On 12/20/24 we had an echocardiogram done to see the condition of his heart. Alfie is healthy with a left ventricle that is slightly enlarged with NO congestive heart failure He is on 2 mg of pimobendan 2x a day and we have 6 months worth. He is on Dorzolamide and Tacrolimus for his eyes. Behavior: Well you can't get a better dog than this kid, he is potty trained, crate trained, loves to follow other dogs around, sweet, kind, and independent. He loves his 30-minute walks, gets along with other dogs, and would benefit from a multi-small dog household. I work from home, and Lincoln is no problem. He is a WONDERFUL dog. Lincoln tries to boss big dogs around by nipping them. My large dogs have not hurt Lincoln. Lincoln may ENJOY smaller dogs better. (FREE ITEMS) I will wash his PJs, dog bowls, dog coat, and two small dog beds and give them to you. Plus, dog harness, collars & dog leash. I will give you 3 days of cooked dog food.
