NEWBIE ALERT!! Meet Trooper! This adorable boy came to us from a local overcrowded shelter! He’s an adorable Doxie/Shih Tzu mix we believe. He has the long body and short legs like a Doxie and longer hair like a Shih. He’s a little timid at first but never aggressive. He will just shy away until comfortable. He’s great with other dogs and cats. He’s very quiet. Will use a doggy door and doesn’t mind a crate. He’s 1 year old and 16 lbs. He is utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and neutered.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
