Story
Meet Callie, a laid-back sweetheart with a heart full of love! Rescued from a shelter where she was brought in as a stray, Callie is estimated to be around 10 years old. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on preventative care, and she recently had a dental cleaning. Although Callie is completely blind, she navigates her surroundings with amazing confidence, easily getting around her foster home and keeping up with her furry siblings. She’s very food motivated, so her foster mom feeds her separately to keep her from snacking on everyone else’s meals. Given the chance, Callie will definitely explore the trash, so keeping things out of reach is a must! Callie is mostly housebroken if taken out frequently and is fantastic about standing still for her harness. She walks beautifully on a leash, and while she will use pee pads indoors, she may occasionally “mark,” which we hope will improve now that she’s been spayed. Don’t let her age fool you—this sweet girl has a playful spirit and absolutely loves her squeaky toys! Currently located in Wheelersburg, Ohio, Callie is ready to find her forever home. If you’d like to welcome this sweet girl into your home, please apply today!

Story
Sparky is a cute little fella looking for a special home! This guy can be nervous of new people at first, but once he settles in he can be sweet and silly. Sparky isn`t a fan of sharing his favorite things so it will be important for his family to respect his space around resources. Sparky enjoys a leisurely stroll and is very good at making dog friends. We think he could do well in a home with a low key canine companion. Sparky is looking for a low traffic, adult only home where he can take him time to settle in and adjust at his own pace. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Here is another pup available for adoption that will be easy for all of us to fall in love with. Ara is a young 9 years young and weighs just 10 lbs.  This sweet girl clearly has lived a very tough life.  Found as a stray on the streets of Peurto Rico after being used for puppies.  She was already 9 years old and in bad shape.  She was brought to the vet to start her protocol to get ready for adoption.  The poor girl had skin issues so she was shaved and the issue is now resolved.   Look at her beautiful coat.  Ara is cleared for adoption. Let the fun begin.I understand that finding her a forever home won't be easy because of her age.  But she deserves the best home.   Ideal home shouldn't have any dogs the size of ponies and no small kids.  She is tiny herself Cats are fine, and a small dog for company would be great. Please consider giving her the chance she deserves. As you can see in her pictures, Ara is just a happy girl ##2254045##

Story
Toby spent the first 7 months of his life in a 4x4 outdoor pen that can be best described as a chicken coop. So, he only knows how to play and exercise by constantly running in circles.    After rescue, he stayed in foster to deal with his medical issues. A painful eye that he couldn't see from has been removed. His skin issues are resolved, and he has his beautiful coat.   To say his life hasn't been easy is an understatement. But, he's almost there. Toby is doing great with potty training and is now playing the way puppies should.   Toby has no continuing medical issues except prescribed eye drops, which cost $25 per month. He's very good about letting you do the drops. His dream home would have: another small dog to play with. HE LOVES TO PLAY.   Fenced-in yard Kids who aren't loud A family who wouldn't leave him alone for a bunch of hours. Toby is with me in foster, and I can't say enough good things about him. This little guy is very special.    Don't worry, little man, someone is going to fall in love with you.   ##2254052##

Story
Meet Murdock (male) and his partner, Lovie (female) They are a bonded pair of non shedding adult dogs who are both very very sweet and loving. These now adorable dogs were living on the streets of Houston before they came into rescue.Murdock worships Lovie, and she adores him. As much as they love each other, they love their person just as much. This precious pair are dog and cat friendly. They have done fine around children over 5.Murdock does have a bit of a Napoleon syndrome, as he does want to be the alpha with other dogs other than Lovie. This sweet pair are both crate trained!! Housetraining almost there. Murdock is still learning to signal when he needs to go outside, but does great as long as he’s taken out regularly.Lovey, on the other hand, it has it completely mastered. Both are medium to low energy, so will require very low physical maintenance. They love to sleep in the bed with their person, or with each other on a bed.Whoever is lucky enough to bring these dogs into their life, will have a heartwarming experience that will definitely change their lives for the better.Name: Murdock & LovieBreed: Shih Tzu/MalteseSex: Male and FemaleAge: 6 years  (estimated)Weight: 10.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Yes, Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  Texarkana Tx IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Maddy! This sweet and lovable pup hopes to find a forever home where she can get all the cuddles and playtime she deserves. Maddy had a tough start to life, spending her first five years crated in a puppy mill operation. Because of this, Maddy is not a fan of being confined and takes a little bit to warm up.  She is great on a leash and enjoys hanging out in a fenced yard, but she especially loves being close to her humans or other animal friends. While she can be a little grumbly when another dog gets too close during cuddle time, she's easily redirecte. Maddy has the most adorable underbite, which only adds to her charm! She's still figuring out how to be a dog, but her favorite thing is playing with cat toys (she doesn’t care if she’s not a cat) and laying on mountains of blankets. Maddy loves sleeping in bed with her people at night, making her the perfect snuggle buddy. If you're looking for a loving companion who will keep you entertained and never leave your side, Maddy might be the perfect fit!Name: MaddyBreed: Shih TzuSex: FemaleAge: 5-6 years estimatedWeight: 16 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: NegativeMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $400.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue.
