Name:  Mickey Age: 9 years Weight: 14 lbs Adoption Fee: $250.00 Good with Dogs?  Yes, other low energy dogs  Good with cats?  Yes  Meet  Mickey , a 9-year-old Shih Tzu with a heart full of love. Despite his blindness and deafness,  Mickey  navigates life with a goofy grin and a mellow attitude. His gentle nature makes him the perfect companion. He may not see or hear you, but he feels your presence, your touch, your kindness. And he will find you if you have food!    Mickey  is a testament to resilience, showing us that joy can be found even in the face of challenges. His happy demeanor and gentle spirit make him an exceptional friend.  Mickey  does well with other low energy dogs, cats, and even made friends with the bunny in his foster home. He's potty trained and loves going for walks. He's also a big fan of toys and enjoys playing just as much as enjoys snuggling up in a comfy bed.    Due to glaucoma,  Mickey  had surgery to remove both his eyes. Once he's healed up, he'll feel much better without the pain and pressure. Blind dogs do very well and it’s easy to forget they can’t see because they navigate around the home so well. To keep him happy and healthy Mickey needs  allergy meds that cost about $45 a month.  Mickey is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $250.00.   He’d love to have a home for the holidays! Adoption Process: Step 1:     Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Are you looking for a high energy, silly guy to be your shadow? Gerald is your man! He is go-go-go and smooch-smooch-smooch. Loves toys and belly rubs and zoomies with friends. Hard to find his “off” button and could use some work on manners and potty training, but this youthful silly goose on the loose is totally worth it! Gerald is a 6 year old, recently neutered male shih tzu mix. Whatever his mix is, it made him leggy and he has an adorable underbite that makes his bottom canines pop out. Meet Russell! Russell is an almost 12 year old shihtzu. He is your classic old man, a very lazy guy who can be a bit grumpy, but is harmless (and toothless).    Russell has some senior guy medical issues. He does have a heart murmur that requires 3 pills a day, so he’ll need someone that can afford his medications and keep up with the occasional echocardiogram to check on his heart. He is also a very picky eater with a sensitive stomach, not uncommon of a guy his age, and it’s hard to find things he likes to keep weight on him. He is still underweight.    Despite his quirks, Russell is a sweet gentleman and foster mom loves him to pieces. To his person, he is as loyal as they come. He will follow you everywhere. He doesn’t love cuddles but he loves to stay close to you. He would prefer a low key, quiet home where he can nap without much interruption. He isn’t a good fit for rowdy dogs or small children. Russell doesn’t need much attention but he prefers to be around his person all the time. His perfect situation would be a very relaxed home where his person can be home with him most of the time. He deserves to be loved and adored for all the time he has left.November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm
