Story
Location Decatur, IL Application at leiashope.org Frankie is a happy, boisterous, and friendly guy! He loves to play with other dogs and chase them in the yard. He's not very fast so he never wins the game of tag! hahaha Frankie enjoys hanging out on the couch and snuggling but he gets hot pretty easily and so doesn't spend a lot of time up close. He likes to lay in dog beds or the cool floor. In the summer, he likes to sleep with a fan on him. He is a great little car rider and enjoys looking out the window. He is excited to get to his next destination and meet new people. Frankie will bark when meeting new dogs, but it is mostly out of excitement. To be so little, he has a big bark! Frankie does ok on a leash, but pulls as he just wants to explore. Frankie is all boy, and keeping this white coat is a challenge. He likes to run through mud, stick his face in the dirt, and roll in smelly things. He needs his eyes and chin wiped daily to help with staining. Frankie is on a balanced raw dog food diet. He was weened on raw and when he got older we tried to put him on kibble but he had constant ear infections and his tear stains got really bad. We switched him back to raw and no more ear infections and his eyes are much better! He should stay on this diet or something similar (like perhaps the Farmers Dog). The extra you spend in food will save you from frequent vet visits. If you have questions about raw or his diet, please speak with us. If you insist on dry kibble, then Frankie is not the dog for you. Frankie is such a delight to have around and does not disappoint when it comes to fun and a great personality. Frankie would really enjoy having a playmate. He has been great with the foster's 2 year old granddaughter, so kids are in his list of most liked people, and he also has been great around dogs of all sizes. Frankie has an extra toe on his back feet. It doesn't interfere with his mobility and will likely never cause any problems, just one more nail to clip :) Frankie's adoption is $500. He gets neutered Nov 23, current on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and heart worm prevention. Applications at leiashope.org NOTE: WE ARE A VOLUNTEER RAN ORGANIZATION AND OUR APPLICATION PROCESS CAN TAKE 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS, DEPENDING ON OUR AVAILIBILITY AND YOUR REFERENCES. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES AND NOT AT A CENTRAL LOCATION. AN APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE DO MEET AND GREETS. WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT DOGS. YOU MUST COME TO THE LOCATION OF THE DOG TO MEET AND ADOPT. Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energ

Story
Rudi Tooty fresh and fruity! She js an 8-year-old, 10-pound Shihpoo (Shih Tzu/poodle mix). Just look at this beauty! That gaze, that golden curly hair, those toofers. Are you swooning yet?? Rudi was found running in a field. She was so matted that her legs were stuck together. But, my goodness is she proof of a dog's resilience. Rudi loves everyone: big people, little people, barky people (er dogs). She enjoys car rides and walks, cuddles, and late nights under the stars...pretty much whatever. Rudi may bark to alert you to an intruder, but isn't a loud mouth. Bonus, she doesn't shed, so regular grooming will keep her beautiful, and your house fur free. Woot! Apply for her today! Please apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DBSR/Dog Her minimum adoption donation amount is $275. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm checked, and on flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. We are located in Bloomington, IL We do not ship, you would need to travel to pick up your babies if you live out of state. Your current pets must be up-to-date on core vaccines, spayed/neutered, and on heart worm prevention year round. You must be at least 21-years-old to adopt. Please have your veterinarian and two non-family reference phone numbers ready. The app makes you start all over if you leave the page to look up numbers. Story
Eeeek it’s too much cute! Bucky is a Shih Tzu/terrier mix who weights 8-pounds, and is about 8-months old. He came with some quite stained fur. However, he got the spa treatment at Nilla's Tub, DIY Dog Wash and Health Food Store for Dogs and Cat. Bucky is definitely feeling handsome, and his fur is a little more white. What a gem! He loves other dogs, and has even managed to get the non-playful fur kids to join in fun. He has been a very good car passenger, an incredible snuggler, and a fantastic companion. You know you need this guy in your life! Please apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DBSR/Dog His minimum adoption donation amount is $345. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm checked, and on flea/tick and heart worm preventatives.
