Sam was rescued from a high intake shelter after his owner surrendered him there because they said they could no longer care for him.It just so happened we were going to the shelter to rescue a different dog and they showed us Sam. He had only been there less than a week and he was beside himself when we were with him pulling us towards every door he saw saying, “get me out of here!” So we did.Sam is in a foster home and has been a complete gentleman. He’s been quiet, easy and maybe just a bit sad. We know he had been loved because he seemed to be missing his person.Sam lives with two dogs without any issues. He enjoys walks and just hanging out. He may have some hearing loss. Meet Tobey Maguire, a charming guy who is ready to find his forever home! Tobey is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great addition to a multi-dog household. He’s particularly fond of his teenage foster sisters and enjoys cuddling up with them for some quality bonding time. Tobey is very affectionate with his foster mom, though he can be a little stubborn at times and may protest when asked to do something he doesn't want to do. He’s still getting used to his foster dad and can be a bit protective around him, but with time and patience, he is learning to trust. Tobey has just recently started playing with the other dogs in his foster home and enjoys toys as well—his confidence is growing every day! Tobey's ideal home is with an experienced dog family who is patient and ready to work one- on- one with a trainer to help him build trust, particularly with male family members. He will need a quieter home with no small children.  His family must be ready to set boundaries to ensure that all members of the family experience his cuddly,  loving side. With the right guidance, Tobey will continue to thrive and become an even more loving and confident companion.
