Meet Eedy! We rescued Eedy back in May 2025 from a metro area shelter and it’s taken this long (and a lot of TLC) to get her ready for adoption! Severe upper respiratory infection; malnutrition; skin infection….this poor girl had it all when she came to us. But as you can see from the pictures, she’s a new woman now! It’s extremely difficult to guess age on dogs that have been neglected as much as poor Eedy has throughout her lifetime, but we’re going with somewhere between 9-11 years old. She definitely acts like she is on the lower end of that age range now that she’s feeling so so much better. Eedy is great with other dogs and cats, but truly all she wants out of life now is a nice quiet spot in the sun to nap and her very own person to trail along after, helping in the garden on nice days or curling up in front of a cozy fire on a cool evening. Eedy is on some medications that she will likely require for life - thyroid medicine and apoquel. It is possible that with further study to determine what she is allergic to, and maybe dietary changes, the apoquel might be able to be discontinued. Meet Shaggy Rogers! This sweet 6-year-old Maltese mix is a total heart-stealer with his soft white coat, soulful eyes, and gentle spirit. Shaggy is everything you could want in a companion — fully potty trained, calm, snuggly, and perfectly content to spend his days lounging by your side or napping in a cozy spot. At about 16 pounds, he’s the ideal size for sofa cuddles and lap time. This adorable boy could probably stand to lose a few pounds, right now he's got just a touch of extra fluff to love! Shaggy has impeccable manners — he walks nicely on leash, is crate trained, and does just fine when left alone (he’ll likely just curl up for a nap). He’s friendly with men, women, and kids of all ages, and he’s also great with other small dogs. While playdates give him a fun little spark, he’s also happy as an only dog — he’s all about peaceful companionship. Shaggy’s low-key personality makes him a perfect match for a relaxed household — singles, adults, or seniors who prefer quiet days and cozy evenings. He plays quietly with toys and loves to be your cuddle buddy and calm companion. Shaggy came to us a bit matted and with a mild, treatable skin infection, so he’s on the mend and just starting to show his sweet personality as he heals. His adopter will need to be patient as his hair grows back and he regains his full fluff — but his loving eyes and gentle nature already shine through. He’s also been recently shaved, so expect an adorable transformation once his coat returns!
