Hazel is a 9 year old senior who is easy to love. Her foster mom describes her as, "a happy old lady" who enjoys the simple things in life. You can most often find her near her foster pawrents, preferably sitting right next to them or in a lap. When she isn't living her best life as a lapdog, she enjoys wondering around the yard and exploring all the sights and smells. Hazel is deaf, so will need a patient family who can work with her on visual cues. She also has no teeth and will need soft food. She doesn't let either one of these things slow her down and will make a very loving companion to a lucky family. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Sunny was born Nov 2023. She is a little shy when she meets you, but becomes your little shadow within a few days. She is beginning to take treats and play with toys. She is 8 lbs and should not get any larger.  Adoption fee is 650.00. We are working on housetraining. She gets along with other dogs, cats and older children.   Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. is one of 3 puppies born mid June 2024. They all have had 2 DHPP vaccines given by our vet and fecals. All will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. We do not have any idea what these puppies are other than a shah tzu mix. These puppies are Pre-adoption only as vet work needs to be completed. If you are interested in meeting any of these puppies, you must complete an adoption application at www.alcovypet.org and you must have a prior satisfactory veterinary reference to adopt. We do not ship out of state. We are a rescue not dog breeders. All puppies are black with white.
