Hoagie is a precious, sweet and loving little Shih Tzu. He's currently 9 years old and weighs 28 lbs. He gets along with both dogs, cats, and is good with adults and children. Hoagie is a pretty laid back guy. Very sweet. Housetrained. Hi friends! My name is Turtle and I'm looking for a family to enjoy my golden years with. I'm around 9 years old and think there's many advantages to adopting a perfectly aged dog like me. For example, I'm fully potty trained and enjoy the simple things in life, such as snuggling and siestas on the couch in the afternoon. I also REALLY enjoy food time and have been told I make the most hilarious face while eagerly awaiting my dinner bowl. While I take a bit for me to warm up, once I do I'll be your shadow. I love my foster dad and snuggle up to him every night. My people are my favorite thing and I hate being separated from them. The good news is that I enjoy car rides and would love to ride along with my new family for errands and adventures. It would also be super fun if my family is up for short walks when the weather is nice outside. Turtle is 14 lbs and has a 6 out of 6 heart murmur. He takes medication for the heart murmur and his new family will need to be able to afford the 2 meds. However, he has no apparent symptoms and is just a sweet, easy pup! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. A fenced yard is required to adopt Turtle (no underground fences). Daphne is a sweet little soul who has a lot of spunk for her 10 years. Her favorite hobbies are exploring the outdoors, playing with canine friends, and sunbathing on the deck. Daphne loves to be around her people, curling up beside them in bed every night. Daphne came to us in pretty rough shape, but this resilient girl has a real zest for life and has fully recovered. Her left eye had to be removed and she has limited vision in the right eye, but that doesn't slow her down one bit. There's still much to explore and enjoy! Hazel is a 9 year old senior who is easy to love. Her foster mom describes her as, "a happy old lady" who enjoys the simple things in life. You can most often find her near her foster pawrents, preferably sitting right next to them or in a lap. When she isn't living her best life as a lapdog, she enjoys wondering around the yard and exploring all the sights and smells. Hazel is deaf, so will need a patient family who can work with her on visual cues. She also has no teeth and will need soft food. She doesn't let either one of these things slow her down and will make a very loving companion to a lucky family. Story
Several years ago a good samaritan in Nashville saved me, I was running down the road. She took me in for 3 years, but couldn't afford to take me to the vet. I developed skin and ear issues so she reached out for someone to take me, and here I am getting the health care I need and responding very well. Yes I'm mostly blind, but I'm a gentle fellow that enjoys being petted. I could spend the day sitting on a lap being company and enjoying a persons company. I'm quiet and I would be fine in a small home with a small fenced yard because I love to sit in the sun and snooze.

I came from a backyard breeder in Cartersville. They didn’t want me any more so Act2Pups stepped up and rescued me. I was just a number, I didn’t have a name. I hadn’t been to see a vet and was totally confused to be out of a wire cage. I was allowed to decompress and in a week I was coming out of my shell. All my teeth were rotten so I had them all removed, but I do fine eating wet food. I’ve come a long way and I’m doing great. I’m a sweet gentle fellow that needs a home that will understand what my life was like for so many years.
