Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Chuck & Norris came into PRBJ after their owner passed away and the family was unable to take them. Norris is a bit of a bully with Chuck. A home with another dog would be ideal since he is used to having one around, but he is not dependent on another dog. Norris can get growly with his food dish when Chuck is around and will steal Chuck's food too. This is a behavior we have been working on correcting, and he will need a dedicated owner that can help with this training along with potty training.  Neither pup is housebroken. They are sweet and Norris likes to go on walks. They aren't very playful; they honestly just like to lay around more than anything else. They do well in crates; however, they do still go potty in the crates.  Like most small dogs, they are a great alert to new people coming in the doors and will bark for a few minutes to ensure you saw the intruder. They do well with dogs and cats. They have been briefly around kids and did well.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 2, 2025, 2:36 pm

Story
Hi! We’re Bucky (all black) and Bumi (black & white)! We’re two peas in a pod—or rather, two Shih Tzus—looking for our forever home together! I’m Bucky, a 3-year-old bundle of love, and my little brother Bumi is 2. Read more about us below!   General Behavior: Bucky and Bumi are pure sweetness wrapped in fluffy coats! Bucky is affectionate and playful, always ready for a game—whether with his humans or his toys. Bumi, on the other hand, is an adventurous little guy who dreams of his next game of fetch. Both have goofy, endearing personalities that are sure to keep you entertained!   Likes & Dislikes: These two cuties love their toys and snuggling up with their humans—Bucky especially! A comfy bed is a must, as they both enjoy curling up for a cozy nap.   Training: Walks with these adorable pups are a breeze—they proudly show off their leash-walking skills wherever they go! Bucky is well-mannered and polite, while Bumi is still working on refining his manners. Both boys love sleeping in bed with their humans and do well with housetraining once they’re settled into a routine.   Medical: Bucky and Bumi are healthy boys! They just need their regular monthly heartworm and flea preventatives.   Other Animals: These friendly pups would do great in a home with other dogs! They haven’t met any cats yet, so their compatibility with feline friends is still unknown.   Children: This joy-filled pair interacts well with children!   Home: Bucky and Bumi would be happy in any type of home, as long as they’re together.   Grooming: As Shih Tzus, they’ll need a trip to the groomer every 8–10 weeks to keep their coats looking their best.   Overall: Bucky and Bumi are a fun-loving duo ready to find a family to call their own. With a great selection of toys and humans who don’t mind plenty of snuggles, they’ll be as happy as can be.  Are you the one for Bucky and Bumi? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.Org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with their foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. They are both up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. The adoption donation for the pair is $625.  ##2299131##

Story
Theory was a COVID puppy. He is loving, affectionate and fun. He will play fetch and loves to cuddle and watch tv. He is purebred and purely bred. He has a misshaped shoulder and this prevents him for being able to run. He must eat at regular times. I keep him on an auto feeder. He is prone to fungal infections of the ear and requires regular grooming. If he gets fleas he will get hives. He must be kept on fleas and heart worm meds. I have him professionally groomer every 6-8 weeks, with oatmeal baths in between. All his special items (feeder, toys, shampoo&conditioner) will go with him. He will use a reusable pee pad (idk if he would use disposable ones). Unfortunately if there are any other dogs in the home, he will mark. This is the reason I am rehoming him. I have a cat. He loves her but it’s not mutual. I have a Garfield and Oddie situation. He would be happy in a no pet home with someone that can be with him most of the time.

Story
Liberty is a gentle old soul, 14 years young, who enjoys the simple things in life - warmth, comfort, and plenty of rest. She’s a quiet presence in the home, spending most of her time curled up in her favorite bed, peacefully snoozing the day away. She’s not much for activity, as her hind legs are weak, but she gets by with a little help. She appreciates being carried outside for bathroom breaks, and if she needs to go, she will. If not, she’ll just settle in and relax until it’s time to come back in. She’s not a fan of car rides. Liberty does enjoy the occasional snuggle on the couch, when she’s awake enough for it! Liberty may be an old girl, but she’s full of love. She’s looking for a quiet, caring home where she can continue to enjoy her golden years with kindness and comfort. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $200 and you can adopt me at WWW.POLKADOGZ.ORG.  ##2299413##
