You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Sunny was born Nov 2023. She is a little shy when she meets you, but becomes your little shadow within a few days. She is beginning to take treats and play with toys. She is 8 lbs and should not get any larger.  Adoption fee is 650.00. We are working on housetraining. She gets along with other dogs, cats and older children.   Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only. I'm taking over care for my 101 yr old mother, Dog is playful and active, but play level is high and dog is very passionate aboyt playing tug of war5 and fetching, but he's aggressive sometimes his claws and teeth contact the skin, not biting, just playing. My mother is frail and I fear Burly could hurt her. He's great with kids, loves going for walks, house trained. Dog obtained from homeless person who needed help, was supposed to be a temporary arrangement, but the person still can't take the dog. Kennel, food, toys and treats will be included.

Everyone say hi to Arfie, a 5 year old 30 lb shih tzu boy. Arfie's foster mom says he's the best dog she's ever fostered - he's that sweet and lovable! He just wants to please everyone, has excellent house manners and deserves a chance at a great life in a loving home. He gets along with EVERYONE and has yet to meet a person he doesn't wag his little tail at. Arfie is in need of a home that will take him on walks and give him the opportunity to shed some much need pounds. Arfie has a history of seizures when he was with his previous owner but since we have had him on medication (about $40/month), he has not had a single one. Hola Amigos! It's me Rosa---I am an 8 year old / 8 lb little shih tzu girl in search of my forever home. I came from a not so great place called the " shelter" where some kind folks realized I was scared to death of the noise and smells and.....oh well --you get the picture. Thankfully the girls at FCCR came to my rescue and now I am in a loving foster home until my forever home is identified. Foster mommy says I am a super sweet little girl and my "funny walk" ( due to a long ago unattended injury ) makes me all the more cuter- it certainly doesn't stop me from anything ..except maybe jumping on furniture or the front seat of her car---I need assistance with that! I get along great with other dogs and cats , but I am happiest when my human is around and I can give and receive lots of snuggles. Hello everyone- my name is Molly and I am a 10 year young 9 lb shih tzu girl in search of a new home. Sadly my owner passed away and no family member stepped up to take me in... so I was whisked away to the shelter. Because I have some vision impairment ( I can see enough to make my way to the treats stash and my comfy beds etc) I was overlooked at the shelter and then FCCR came to my rescue....yayyyyy!!!!!!! Now I am with a foster mommy that loves me and takes really good care of me and has promised to find me just the right home. I am a very sweet and velcro little girl so I'd prefer to be YOUR center of attention LOL. I enjoy the company of other pups and I am very curious about their toys since every so often I will take one for my own playtime----but it's all ok----sharing is caring after all.
