Hi there, I’m Chewy, a lovable, fluffy Shih Tzu with a heart as big as my adorable eyes (which, by the way, just need a little extra TLC—some over-the-counter eye drops twice a day, but I’m a champ about it!). I may not have much history before coming to this shelter, but one thing is very clear—I am incredibly sweet, gentle, and full of love. I get along with everyone, and I have a special soft spot for my best friend, Ebby, a beautiful Border Collie mix I’ve taken under my wing during our stay at H.A.L.O. We’re quite the adorable pair, always cuddling and keeping each other company. While we don’t have to be adopted together, we sure wouldn’t mind!If you’re looking for a loving, gentle companion (or even a perfect duo with Ebby!), I’d love to meet you! We currently in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting, please speak with the front staff about the next steps! Requirements: Martingale Collar; Eye lubricant dailyAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Murphy was born 9/4/24. He is the sweetest boy who loves toys and playing tug of war.  He is excellent with children! He will probably weigh 12 to 15 lbs as an adult. He was surrendered from a store that closed in New York. There are no known health issues. Adoption fee is 950.00. He needs work on house training. Located in the south.  Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Liliana came to PRBJ when her family dynamics changed and they no longer had time or the resources to care for her. She has wire hair and likes to be brushed. Liliana is crated trained and is working on potty training. She can have accidents if she has to go and you do not get her out in time.  She was scared and shy when her foster first took her home, but she quickly adjusted after a couple of days. Liliana has been around very young kids with no issues. She loves to play fetch and to go on walks. Lilianna was curious about her foster's cats but was fine when they were not interested in her. She is an energetic pup that will need a family that has energy to play with her. She loves other dogs but would be best with another dog close to her size, age, and energy level.
