Story

Theory was a COVID puppy. He is loving, affectionate and fun. He will play fetch and loves to cuddle and watch tv. He is purebred and purely bred. He has a misshaped shoulder and this prevents him for being able to run. He must eat at regular times. I keep him on an auto feeder. He is prone to fungal infections of the ear and requires regular grooming. If he gets fleas he will get hives. He must be kept on fleas and heart worm meds. I have him professionally groomer every 6-8 weeks, with oatmeal baths in between. All his special items (feeder, toys, shampoo&conditioner) will go with him. He will use a reusable pee pad (idk if he would use disposable ones). Unfortunately if there are any other dogs in the home, he will mark. This is the reason I am rehoming him. I have a cat. He loves her but it’s not mutual. I have a Garfield and Oddie situation. He would be happy in a no pet home with someone that can be with him most of the time.

Meet Dewy Dewy is about 5 years old, weighs 10 pounds and is a happy, playful pup. He is very sweet, friendly and as you can see in the video, enjoys his person. He is a great lap dog that will love you unconditionally. He was neglected in his former life. He came to us all matted and he might need dental care, That will be taken care of prior to adoption if it is needed. We can see Dewy doing well in a home where he can get lots of attention and playtime with his family. He needs a family that will take him for regular grooming and medical visits. He has a calm personality and is just the cutest. He can’t wait to find a home of his own! He would be a wonderful, loyal companion to you. Dewy is located in at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to St Augustine, FL on December 21st. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $400. The fee includes the transport cost. Meet Fido Fido is a sweet and social boy who is about 1.5 years old and weighs 12 pounds. He was owner surrendered, through no fault of his own, and we are so happy he is here with us. Fideo has the nicest personality, loves people, super calm and will love to nap on your lap and get lots of scratches. He also likes to play in the yard with his play yard group. He gets along well with the other dogs at the rescue. He is a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call his own! He has beautiful fur and the fluffiest tail. Meet Pierre! This 10-lb Shih Tzu is just 1 year old. Pierre is a quirky guy who is looking for a family who will love him as much as he will love them. General Behavior: Pierre is the cutest little tripod. He has a non-functional front leg does not slow him down one bit. This affectionate fellow will greet you with an enthusiastic wiggle when you come home before settling in for snuggles and playtime. Likes & Dislikes: Pierre loves toys: the more, the merrier! He also loves food, perhaps a little too much. He is very food-motivated. Training: Pierre is practicing his manners and has the makings of a little gentleman. He is working on his housetraining. He walks well on a leash and tolerates car rides. He also sleeps in the people bed at night. Medical: Pierre is a healthy boy! He is currently taking PetTinic for iron, but long term he will probably only need his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. Other Animals: A home where Pierre would be the only dog is needed. He mostly ignores his fosters’ cat, although he gave a half-attempted chase it one time. Children: This boy would do best in a home with older and respectful kids. Home: Pierre can be rather anxious if left alone and will bark and howl. Therefore, he needs to be in a single family home where someone is around more often than not. He would also be safer in a home without stairs, and if there is a pool he needs to be protected from it. Grooming: As a Shih Tzu, Pierre will need regular grooming (about every 6-8 weeks) to keep him looking and feeling his best.
