She’s always up for a new sight or scent, but is just as content quietly by your side during a cozy evening.Charlie, on the other hand, is a true cuddle bug who adores treats, attention, and especially snuggling up with her family. She’s very attached to her humans, particularly the ladies, and will happily join you on the couch or follow you around the house. Charlie’s ideal day involves being close to her family, and she doesn’t enjoy being alone, so a home where someone is often around would be perfect.Both Jayla and Charlie are sweet-natured, loyal companions who will sit quietly by your feet while you read or watch TV, and they get along wonderfully with cats. Ozzie is an adorable 2-3yo, approx 12lb male shih tzu/Chi mix that is the happest boy you will ever meet. This sweet boy has lots of energy and LOVES to play.. if you have a toybox, all the toys will be scattered around your home. Ozzie also likes to pull the stuffing out of toys and then gives you the pleading eyes to buy him more to destroy. We would love Ozzie to go to a home with yard, other small dogs or children form him to play with. An active family is a must for Ozzie. Meet Pierre! This 10-lb Shih Tzu is just 1 year old. Pierre is a quirky guy who is looking for a family who will love him as much as he will love them. General Behavior: Pierre is the cutest little tripod. He has a non-functional front leg does not slow him down one bit. This affectionate fellow will greet you with an enthusiastic wiggle when you come home before settling in for snuggles and playtime. Likes & Dislikes: Pierre loves toys: the more, the merrier! He also loves food, perhaps a little too much. He is very food-motivated.   Training: Pierre is practicing his manners and has the makings of a little gentleman. He is working on his housetraining. He walks well on a leash and tolerates car rides. He also sleeps in the people bed at night.  Medical: Pierre is a healthy boy! He is currently taking PetTinic for iron, but long term he will probably only need his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. Other Animals:  A home where Pierre would be the only dog is needed. He mostly ignores his fosters’ cat, although he gave a half-attempted chase it one time. Children:   This boy would do best in a home with older and respectful kids. Home: Pierre can be rather anxious if left alone and will bark and howl. Therefore, he needs to be in a single family home where someone is around more often than not. He would also be safer in a home without stairs, and if there is a pool he needs to be protected from it. Grooming: As a Shih Tzu, Pierre will need regular grooming (about every 6-8 weeks) to keep him looking and feeling his best.   Overall: Pierre is a sweet little guy who needs a family who will accept his quirks and love him just the way he is.
