Liberty is a gentle old soul, 14 years young, who enjoys the simple things in life - warmth, comfort, and plenty of rest. She’s a quiet presence in the home, spending most of her time curled up in her favorite bed, peacefully snoozing the day away. She’s not much for activity, as her hind legs are weak, but she gets by with a little help. She appreciates being carried outside for bathroom breaks, and if she needs to go, she will. If not, she’ll just settle in and relax until it’s time to come back in. She’s not a fan of car rides. Liberty does enjoy the occasional snuggle on the couch, when she’s awake enough for it! Liberty may be an old girl, but she’s full of love. She’s looking for a quiet, caring home where she can continue to enjoy her golden years with kindness and comfort. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Abby is a sweet and small girl who shares a lot of similarities with her sister Pepper! Even though she loves her siblings she is quite the independent gal when it comes to people. She is happy to do her own thing and would need a family who can respect her space, so small children may not be recommended for this pup. Abby does not speak English and is more understanding of Spanish commands. She hates leashes and would be better off using a carrier or simply just being picked up. Abby does great with other small dogs and has no interest in cats, and gently takes treats when given some; her favorite treats are meaty ones! She slowly eats her food throughout the day as she is hungry. Her favorite thing to do is run and wrestle with other dogs and she typically has no interest in toys. It would be beneficial to her if she was able to find a home with her sister, Pepper Jane.
