Story
This is a bonded pair and it’s imperative that they remain together when rehomed. Jake is a Shih Tzu Maltese mix, and Joe is a Pekingese Shih Tzu mix. They are 13and 12.5 years old respectively. These boys have been together since they were 6 months old. Both are infectiously sweet. Both boys are super friendly and will require a quiet home environment, they have been raised without children or other pets. They are cuddlers, not "barkers", but will let you know someone is at the door. They require grooming at least every 10 weeks. Both boys are "potty" trained and are accustomed to going out to potty at least 4 times per day. They love car rides and brief walks. Jake has been diagnosed (in 2021) with diabetes and is on Insulin twice a day and tolerating well. The boys are up to date on vaccines. Unfortunately my personal circumstances have changed and now I’m forced to work a second job which is why I need to rehome them. Thank you for taking a peek at their profile.

Story
Meet Mindy, an adorable 9 year old,11 lb, cream colored Shih Tzu girl. She is a sweet soul who enjoys being outside in her fenced backyard, car rides, belly rubs, playing with toys and her K9 foster siblings. Even though Mindy can have her spurts of energy, her goal in life is to be your sidekick and fellow “couch potato”. She is a retired breeding kennel mamma, and like most of these pups, she needs a quiet home, and another dog to continue to learn from and help her adjust to her new life. She is house trained and leash trained (she loves walks), but she has not been able to manage stairs. She would need a one level home or someone who will be able to carry her up and down stairs as needed. Mindy loves her humans but is slow to warm up to new people. Binx is a very loving, playful 3 yr old Shih Tzu mix boy. He weighs 14 lbs. Binx loves toys and playing tug-a-war with another dog. Binx is house trained and loves going for walks. Binx would be happy to sit in your lap all day or next to you on a sofa. He sleeps in the big bed. He needs a home where his boundaries are respected, and he has time to adjust. Cody is a lovable 4 year old, 9 pound male Shih Tzu, with a heart full of affection and a gentle nature. This sweet brown and white boy loves to snuggle and has a calm demeanor. He is fantastic with gentle children and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats. He walks beautifully on a leash, is working on his housetraining and likes playing with toys. Barnaby is a 2.5 year old, 16 lb. male Shih Tzu. He is a liver color, with pretty light eyes and a brown nose. He came to rescue when his previous family had a baby, and had no time for him. Barnaby is a lover! He gives everyone kisses and loves belly rubs. He sleeps all night in the big bed with his foster mom. Barnaby is house trained. He walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides! He plays well with other small dogs, but he is afraid of large dogs, so he needs a home without one. It is unknown how he reacts to cats. He has some anxiety, and will take a bit to warm up to his new home, but once he does, I promise, you will have a lifelong friend and companion. Barnaby is fostering in the northeast area of the USA.
